Carrier T-Mobile 2018 New iPhone Pre-Order Thread

where you able to see if there are any up coming flights to your area?

Not mine hahaha. Charged on Sunday with IMEI and UPS label right after

Showed about 5 incoming flights going into Ontario. Two in 30 min, two in 1 hr, and one in 3 hrs. Just being pessimistic hahaha. Someone who's about 15-20 minutes from me go his/her's scanned about an hour ago, but had faster shipping

My watch is 1.70 lbs. Phone is 1.10 lbs.

I agree with you 100%. Sure T-mobile knows the places UPS ships to the next day via ground and uses ground to go to those places. 2 day air when they need to and next day air for places farther out. No reason for people to be flying off the handle over this. I think they sent my watch 2nd day air because it had a later shipping date initially. Looks like now I'm getting it tomorrow. Phone is ground and no Origin scan yet but sure it will hit tonight maybe even in the middle of the night I seem to remember that happening before.
 
For people in the pacific northwest it's not unusual to see an origin scan around 10pm, see arrival around 4am, and out for delivery around 7am.

It's kind of annoying that apple releases these things on a Friday. Because if you don't get it delivered Friday then you have to wait the whole weekend while the other Apple fanatics play with their new toys.

I'm still traumatized from last year when my iPhone X was "Out for Delivery" but just never came. I called UPS and they said it was never put it on a truck which they claimed was because it was a valuable item and they were instructed to hold it back by apple/t-mobile. Lies! They just messed up.

And with all the kerfuffle this year I'm not holding hope for a smooth ride tomorrow, sigh.
 
Just out of curiosity, did anyone else preorder the XS and not the XS Max? I feel like I may be the only one haha :D

Yes, I heard this from them as well. All the confusion this year is because of that policy change. Which none of the agents seemed to think was important to let people know.

Chalk it up to another thing T-Mobile changed without notifying customers. These little things are starting to add up and T-Mobile is looking less appealing as 2018 chugs along.

Another XS here! Funny enough, I used to have an Galaxy S8 Plus (switched to iPhone for reasons) and while the big screen is awesome for videos, holding it sucks and it’s really big in your pocket. The XS has a relatively big screen compared to its size, so that works out nicely for me.

Anyone else getting their status as just “In-Transit” but no delivery date and no origin scan?

Yep, this is so annoying! I called yesterday when I realized I am ground and am almost guaranteed to NOT get my phone tomorrow. The agent never gave me the option to upgrade to faster shipping when I pre-ordered at midnight (3 am my time).....

The agent yesterday said something to the effect of "if you wanted it on launch day, you should have asked the representative to upgrade the shipping to next day." I simply replied by saying: "isn't it pretty clear that I want it on launch day since I woke up at 3 am to order a phone?" She didn't have much to say about that...she gave me a $15 credit and left me very frustrated.

This could be true, maybe shipments close enough will get delivered tomorrow. I still think a lot of ground shipments will arrive later and everyone that got the two day shipment will arrive tomorrow. Hopefully everyone is able to get theirs tomorrow and it was well figured out.

Right?! I have small hands so the 8 Plus just doesn’t fit comfortably and always falls out of my pockets lol.

You are assuming they knew anything about the change when they took the orders. That is if any of this is even true. I still say ground orders will ship today later on.
