Ok everyone it’s that time again.

What are you going to pre-order based off the rumors?

I’m going for the 12 Pro Max if we get ProMotion. Otherwise I might just hang on to my 11 Pro Max. Still a powerful phone with a great camera. Plus if I need 5G I have my Note20 to use Android

5.4" iPhone 12.

I haven't updated iPhones for the past 3 years because all the available options are too big and/or heavy. That said, wish there were better color options than all those pastels for the iPhone 12.

I'm sure they will have a phone for you this year. iPhone SE 2020 is good size

An established customer with a good payment history should not have to make a down payment, in my opinion. As a T-Mobile customer, that is one of the things I dislike about their business model, even though I have always bought my phones outright from Apple sans one time with Verizon.

A little early for a pre-order thread. I haven’t decided if I will get the 5.4” at launch or wait until next year.

Sadly I switched from T-Mobile to Verizon almost 2 weeks ago, and will of course buy the 12 Pro Max 256GB or 512GB outright with Apple. I’m still going to follow this thread with everyone to give me more to read as preordering looms closer.

Last year they offered half off launch day iPhone 11 with a iPhone 7 trade in. Do you think this year they'll offer launch day half off iPhone 12(unsure which one I want) with an iPhone 8 trade in? Of course the 'half off' is with the 24 monthly payments...

They’ll probably add iPhone 8, X, XS and XS Max for half off. I just hate how they give you credits monthly vs immediately. That’s how they keep you for 24 months. I’m not doing that this year with Verizon. I’m paying outright for the first time.

I might do the same too. Debating whether to sell/keep/pass on my X. I’m interested to see T-Mo trade in deals though.

Agreed. I hate the 24 month paid out payments but what can you do...

Thiiiiiiiiiiiiis! The only reason I upgraded my iPhone SE was due to the bezel reduction of the iPhone X. But the iPhone 12 might be offering the best of both worlds! Small size, squared sides like the SE, and the bezel-reduction. I’m worried about losing that extra camera compared to my 11 Pro, but I feel like I will be much happier with the size alone.

It will depend on storage options... Last year was the first year I looked at my storage and said “WTF did I buy the 512gb XS Max?” (I was using less than 200gb when the 11 came out... but I’ve always gone for the highest storage... kind of a carryover from my iPod days). So last year I did 256... but went Pro for the camera. I don’t think the camera will upsell me to the Pro again.

This year I’m up close enough to filling my 256 that I’m wanting to do 512 again. That might automatically mean I’m getting a Pro of some size... and at that point it’s already so expensive that I throw my hands up and just get the Max ?

Supposedly we still are a month out from even finding out what our options will be, huh?

Normally I buy the 256GB storage which I never fill up past 64GB, but this year I saved enough to upgrade to the 512GB if the dates for the 256GB 12 Pro Max in silver start slipping a month out. If the dates don’t slip I’ll order the 256GB and save the extra $200 in my savings account.
