What made you switch to Verizon?

Too many dropped calls and too many situations with no service. I deliver mail and sometimes deliver in shady neighborhoods. I never felt safe because I would have no service in those areas and with the time going back in November I need service. With Verizon I have service in those areas now.

Safety is important. I have zero service issues where I live except in the mountains which I expect to not have service.

Unless the LiDAR on the Pro models looks really compelling I'm planning to go with the smaller 12. I'm SO ready for a smaller phone and I'm still on a relatively small iPhone 8.

I’m getting the 12 Pro Max 256 GB and trading in my 64 GB XS Max. Hopefully, with that I can pay off the rest of the phone either that same month or the following month. There are in total 6 people on our T-mobile plan. My in-laws, my parents, and my husband and I.
They were still using their iPhone 6 pluses until it became unusable. With the current situation, they could not afford to buy their phones outright. So, this year they brought 4 iPhone 11s driving up the monthly costs of our bill. Thankfully, we saved enough money ourselves to buy it almost outright (with trade in).
So excited.
I can’t hardly wait. Tuesday can’t come fast enough. Even if I have to wait till November for this phone. I’m okay with that as long as they announced it.

I can not wait to hold that 12 Pro Max in my hands. I’m praying that Apple sell SIM free for preordering, otherwise I’ll have to pay the $20 upgrade fee from my carrier.

They have always sold a sim free version but only if you pay all upfront or finance on apple card.

Not always. Iirc, SIM-free in US only started with the 4S and back then, it was released 1-2 months later than the carrier branded versions.

I bought a red iPhone 11 thinking they donated more money to aids...... while it's nice they give $7.... not knocking them. It's ugly. Should have just donated the money and got black or white. Will correct this if the 12 has OLED and USB-C.

The price difference is insane for 2 phones. OLED at this point in any iPhone not being standard is Criminal but how long did it take apple to give the MacBook a Retina display? Below are current pricing. Even if they lowered them with the current world situation who knows. Tho people are dumb and see $35-50/month for the phone not being equal to $700-1,100.

SE - $400. They are smart to push this one out much later than the 11. Think most people would have done this. I would have gotten it for my parents instead,

11 - $700.... double the price? I have a friend who has it.... don't think mine is twice as good

11 pro - $1,000.... the screen is nicer and the camera is way better.... but you get get both the ones below for almost the same price

11 pro max - $1,100 =price of first 2 combined

The camera and sizes can justify price changes but when both are OLED. Will a much better camera justify the $300-400 difference. I mean 120hz on my tv I shut off because people move funny. I don't need that on my phone. (especially during covid with so many people without jobs?). Pretty sure budget galaxy has OLED so next SE should have it too.

Same with the rumored no charger included !! WTF is that about ! I understand the ear phones I have never once used any in the 6-7 iPhones I have owned. How can you sell an item without a way to power it. Only apple could ge away with that. Could really alienate the fan base. You know that is what Samsung will attack them on. Imagine if Microsoft or Sony did that with it's new consoles !!

Actually isn’t the camera more or less the same between the 11 and 11 Pro, with the exception of the “telephoto” lens on the pro? I think it leads to some technical differences but my understanding was that the 11 had more or less the same 1x and .5x quality as the Pro— just lacked the 2x. Unless there was some insane killer app for the LiDAR camera, it won’t be enough to get me to go Pro this year.

Certainly there’s diminishing returns the more you spend on an iPhone (Samsung Galaxy, or...). But, for some people it’s worth it.
