My order was completed at 3:15am and I ordered the 256GB SG. I’m still seeing estimated ship date 11/2-11/3.
I thought you like silver better than SG? What changed your choice? I am just curious. I think silver is very popular and was sold out faster than SG.

Does anyone have experience with activation after we receive the phones? I ordered 2 but now only need one. Planning on selling the other but don't want to open it. Do I need to activate before selling?

It’s going to be tied to your account complete with a SIM so I would not just sell it unopened. Also carriers have policies about how long you need to have the phone on their network before they will unlock it. Sell it anyway and you might end up with an IMEI blacklisted phone.

Why would the phone become blacklisted? It would only become blacklisted if I stop making payments on the phone, correct?

Not looking to unlock the phone just looking to sell it locked to someone else with T-mobile.

If they just open it and pop in their own sim, should work correct? My question is, does the person who opens the phone need any account specific information or personal informaiton to activate it? They can just activate by inserting their own sim right?

That should be correct. I had to close my account and open a brand new account a month ago and i did the BOGO Samsung Note 8 promotion. I ended up giving one of the Note 8 to my dad, who is on my account and the other to my aunt, which is on a completely separate account than mine. No issues whatsoever. I even set it up myself. I just put her SIM card in and handed the phone over

Awesome thanks for the info. I guess the only downside to my plan is that if I dont open it and take my own sim out, then theres the risk of whoever I sell it using my account!

If that happens I'm assuming I can put a stop to it and just deactivate the sim tied to the line

My experience has always been that the SIM that came in the iPhone always had to be added to your account after you received the phone. Used to be able to do online SIM change, but I think you have to call care now — so I just move my old SIM into the new phone.

I do not believe the SIM provided in the box is tied to your account.. I do believe the SIM cards that come with the phone are clean SIMs, and you would either call to activate or go to the stores.

At least, that is what i have done. I have changed my phone several times, from 6plus to 7 to a 7 plus and each time, when i received the SIM in the box, i just left them there and used my old one. When my dad got a new phone and needed a new SIM, I took the SIM card from my iphone 7 box, called T-Mobile to activate the SIM and stuck that in his new phone.

I heard full payment is fine.
If you get credit monthly, they dont like it.

Sorry, yes. If it's going to another T-Mobile user all should be fine and clear.

The IMEI of the iPhone will be tied to your account if you are making payments. The phone will be locked to T-Mobile. I’m not sure of the significance of that, but if you stop making payments, whoever you sell it to will have a blacklisted phone. If you pay it off and wait 30 or 40 days (not sure of T-Mobile policy) you can request an unlock. Also, you could sell it and request the unlock afterwards if it’s paid off. I’m not sure if any of this would be something T-Mobile would care about or not.

I had originally preordered through ATT with my ATT account, however, after a huge problem that they caused I canceled my ATT account and ported all my numbers to T-Mobile at a local T-Mobile store. Because of the switch, I had to make a late preorder (today around 2pm) for the iPhone X, but was surprised it says "Estimated to ship 11/03/2017 - 11/10/2017". Should I assume this will change to a later date because of the late pre-order, or is this pretty accurate?

I’ve been told it was pretty accurate, but we can’t be sure yet. If it is true then probably more towards the 11/10 date.

I wanted that one but I haven’t even filled up my 128 7+ yet so I got the lower one. I was lucky and got my order in at 2:19 am.

I haven’t filled my 256GB 7+ neither but I have used more than 64GB so I opted for the bigger storage. Plus I figured it wouldn’t sell out so fast because of the price tag and down payment price.

Yeah true. I’m so lucky I got in so easy. My friends have partial preorder and mines is preorder
