Taking advantage of media interest to announce a new product. Will have nothing to do with iPhone 4. Worlds press will be there. Take advantage of the eyeballs and announce something new. It will also take press away from iPhone 4 issues and divert it to new product.

I really doubt they will issue free bumpers because what about those hundreds and thousands of us who already bought them? We don't need two bumpers, so what are we going to do? People are just going to return them for refund. Apple will just face another massive returns on bumpers. Apple would be wasting time and inventories.
If they are admitting about iphone 4 issue, then they will most likely going to offer store credit, so you can buy bumpers or other things. For future iphone 4 buyers, they will probably offer free bumpers until certain period of time.
If apple is just calling this press event to just say, we are all holding it wrong. Well... then I don't know what to say. They are shooting themselves on foot. I doubt apple will go too much into international launch plans. Because... we don't care.
I think it's going to be announcements of media relationships concerning the iPad particularly. More books in the iBook store. Bragging about iAds and how it superior to all the other ad platforms.
Or they could offer my dream of having tv content through computer. Like iPTV. All I really watch is Disney Channel, MTV, and Nick. I wish I could just pay for that and be done.
Otherwise, I can take the safe and most logical route of talking about how they are going to address the iPhone 4 situation. Which is pretty smart of them to do this in an event setting because they can reassure confidence to customers much better that way. A dry press release alone would be really odd for this sort of situation. Additionally, they have complete control over the small hosted event. No interruptions or anything of that sort.

I'm thinking they WILL mention the signal non-issue - and that white has been pushed back to August.

They will say majority of the iPhone4 user don't experience the antenna issue, only a small group of people using the iphone4 in an non ideal signal location might experience signal issue and apple is working hard on a software fix to resolve the carrier low signal/coverage issue.
And no freebies, because any freebies means compensation for the faulty device, period.
And on the next conference, if the software doesn't fix the issue, apple will say they did the best they can to solve the carrier issue, but you can only do so much on to the phone side, the root cause are still the sources of the signal.
And the next thing going to happen is the launch of ipod4, ipad mini, iphone5

Apple will just say that they have just reached an agreement with AT&T about all of iphone 4 owners will be eligible to buy iphone 5 at discounted price as long as you purchase them by this summer. There you go. Most of us will just throw away iphone 4 by next year because of iphone 5. Problem solved.
