Hell, I even have black and white turned on so the grey bar doesn't bother me as much.

Personally, right now I prefer the function (so reduce transparency on).... Stuttering is more annoying than the grey bar at the bottom.

But, really... Your question shouldn't even exist when speaking about Apple products. There shouldn't have to be a choice between visual styles.

I don't live in a world of should and should not. I live in reality. I agree that it shouldn't, but that's not reality.

I think we're looking at a combination of hardware power with Apple putting too many effects in there. We don't need transparency, we don't need motion effects, and we don't need blur. I'd be happier with 60fps everywhere.

Maybe they're getting iOS 10 ready and it will be a different interface that performs better, and they don't care what iOS9 looks like.

Maybe in iOS 10 we would have turn everything off to make it stutter less.
