Some things never change. Apple has executed planned obsolescence for years. Just accept it, pay the price and keep moving. It's all part of the Apple experience.
Given that brand new latest devices are having the same type of stutter issues, seems like that doesn't quite fit in with that. Some things never change. Apple has executed planned obsolescence for years. Just accept it, pay the price and keep moving. It's all part of the Apple experience.
Actually they are. They conveniently didnt include 3D touch on the iPad Pro for a reasonNot true, they are priming your wallet for the iPad pro 2.
And that particular reason is known and is specifically related to planned obsolescence?Actually they are. They conveniently didnt include 3D touch on the iPad Pro for a reason
I think you're right.Given that brand new latest devices are having the same type of stutter issues, seems like that doesn't quite fit in with that.
Who cares what they say; I am interested in what the products do. I don't buy into the hype.I think you're right.
However year after year these bugs appear no matter if it's Apple or Microsoft.
My complaint with Apple involves their hypocrisy.
One minute they're bragging about their "world changing" products that they charge high prices for. Going on and on at keynotes boasting about their wealth, only to deliver products that sometimes feel rushed to market. Seemingly shipped before they're fully sorted out, the Apple apologists must follow behind making excuses and minimizing the issues that exist.
Make no mistake.... I've been a loyal frequent buyer of nearly all things Apple, I still favor them but I'd feel better if they would reduce the hype.
There's certainly that, but it's really par for the course when it comes to pretty much any company/service/product out there--pretty much everyone will only push the positive things of what they have or do and often embellish them to one degree or another (look at most commercial/advertisements for pretty much anything). Certainly it doesn't mean they shouldn't be living up to what they are talking about, but it's basically something that always needs to be taken with (more than) a grain of salt, as they say. And in many cases things are evolving, so some initial versions of services or products might not live up to everything, but as they evolve (sometimes faster sometimes slower) they often, although not always, get closer to it all.I think you're right.

Perhaps it's a little different when it comes to things based heavily on software that is constantly evolving and changing in one way or another. But even with more established things like cars let's say, even the more premium brands like Mercedes or BMW have their share of problems and certainly various owners who are dissatisfied with one thing or another at different times. You are quite right.
But when one happily pays premium prices for a product that's billed as superior, then the experience should match their claims. One should receive what they pay for. Sometimes you do with Apple, sometimes you do not.
I buy a wide variety of premium products goods and services from a variety of sources. None of which exhibit the gap between what they are supposed to do, or supposed to be, and what is delivered by Apple presently.
Open Cellular data and scroll down the list of apps.Even my grandma could see the lag.Was perfect btw on 8.4.1Yeah, I remember my 5s on 8.3...it clearly was ok. Much better on IOS. Oh wait, it's there, I just can't notice it.
try turning off transparency.iOS 9 on my iphone 5s stutters scrolling in settings, and sometimes freezes on the side Siri thing. It exists on my phone, and I can imagine it exists on others' phones.
I also think they will improve it, but in the same breath think they don't care if it is 60 fps because there are billions of people buying iPhones that don't care about stutters and lag. And, there isn't any other better solution out there.
iPhone had to establish itself as the winner when Palm and Blackberry and Nokia were the winners. Now Apple is winning and they have no motivation to win. Really though, what other option is there for a phone that works as well as iPhone that doesn't only exist to ultimately serve you ads?
Windows - Doesn't offer as much (I think. convince me otherwise)
Blackberry - Hah. (though I wish they were better)
Android - Wants to serve you Google Ads.
The apples have fallen from the tree and is rotting on the ground. Many people buy these apples, but they are rotting slowly. They still taste delicious but the brown is slowly showing and the taste isn't as sweet. Who will make a better apple? Who knows.... Maybe the world will explode before then.
try turning off transparency.
Yeah...........uh....ok....whats the proper response to your suggestion?
How about:
Yeah...........uh....ok....
Yeah...........uh....ok....
It's not the most "appealing way" for I prefer function wise. And reduce transparency makes iOS look terrible compared to the "aero" look. But I'll give it a shot and see if my eyes don't bleed out.
I'm not exactly sure...but it appears to be that way.Well, reduce transparency does make it run smoother.... Metal sucks?

What looks worse: stuttering or reduced transparency?
