I don’t understand how that relates to my post, but Windows is fine and better for some things. At least with Mac you get the best of both worlds.
In a VM. In fact WinDos is best run in a VM where you can control it and clip its wings -- disable much of the superfluous crap that would run by default. Better still you won't be using it for connecting to t'intarwebs, so you're a lot safer and can run it without AV installed. (Obviously up to you to be careful).
For a development machine this is great. Only need to run Visual Studio and the server tools. It's exceedingly efficient and, best of all, can be backed up and moved to other systems.
