Has anyone had any success with a TB2 AIC? It would be the perfect solution for all my equipment instead of going the TB3 route.

I had to update to Monterey, its the Apollo Software minimum requirement unless I use the old version from 2020. I got to work that the Apollo works.

I used Legacy Open Core first, but thunderbolt would not work, and ended up installing the Martin LO package, and the root patch from Legacy Open Core.
With that both TB3 ports work, but no hot plugging, if hot plugged the cMP shuts down, restarts and tells me after restarting, on a black screen, shut down because of a problem.
USB ports on the Mac is not working, weird is, that the USB ports on the 30" Cinema display work, since it is plugged in to one of the USB ports in the rear.
Not sure why, it might be because its active.
coll would be to the the other USB Ports working.
There is no Wifi or Bluetooth, I dont need it, I go by cable.
Otherwise it runs stable.

I didnt check out yet if there is any possibility in open core legacy patcher, to add the TR card SSDT to their system.

If someone knows if that is possible or not woukld be great.

They work if you connect a USB 2.0 hub or a USB 2.0 device. A mouse or keyboard by itself might be USB 1.1 which is no longer working in later macOS versions. You need to connect USB 1.1 devices to a USB 2.0 hub to force the USB ports into USB 2.0 mode.

The keyboard is Apple, flat alu cable, the Trackpad is from around 2020, the display has FW400
and ids older than the 5.1 which has FW800.
No big deal I dont need more than 2 for now =)

Could not figure out hot plug yet, as soon as a TB3, device is hot plugged, the cMP crashes,
a USB 3.1 SSD doesent crash it. Pins 3 and 5 are shorted. What I didnt do yet, is removing the Zero Ω resistor.

I had a look at the Legacy Open Core config.plist.
Looks like, before any SSDT´s, or hacks, there is something which looks like code.I did try to add the SSDT-TBOLT3.aml, but it didnt load, it probably has to be integrated in a certain way.

I bought a used Titan Ridge Rev 2.0 card that was pulled from a cMP, so I assume it was flashed at some point...
I was reading that I could use the card without 6-pin power connections, and I believe the jumper pins 3&5 are shorted as shown here.
Should this be all I need to have the card recognized? It won't show in System Profiler, but when I plug in a USBC to the card the device shows its power light.
I really only want the USB ports to use with a CalDigit TB3 Hub.
Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot?

Strange my exact same card only has pins 3&5 bridging, not 3 way like yours. Mine works perfect in OCLP.

It’s actually just a long wire that loops under the cover
Should the automatically be recognized on boot or do I need to configure anything with OCLP?

Ahh gotcha i see that now. Mine was automatically detected, i didn't have to edit any .plist files, it just works (after flashing). Maybe these newer OCLP versions have it built-in to recognize it now i'm not too sure.
