How about an update to address some changes;
1. If in a chat and I close Textnow and reopen it, go back to that chat, no to the messages screen
2. If in a chat and a new text is received from someone else display a 1 next to the top left box marked "Messages"
3. Quicker load time, the application still takes a decent amount to load
4. Ability to send a text to multiple contacts at once
5. Ability to send MMS
These are just few things in my head that I would like to see, I'm sure others would aswell...just some suggestions

I just started using this app and I found it to work wonderfully with my iPod Touch. Keep it up! Quick question: Does the receiver of a TextNow get charged extra aside from being a regular text? My friends have a limited text plan and I want to make sure. Thanks!

I just saw the update, but then it disapeared! Same thing happened with Facebook 3.1.1...weird.
Did you see it on the AppStore app or on iTunes?
edit: The AppStore has been EXTREMELY buggy lately. Just go to iTunes and install the update!

Thought of another feature that would make this great app even better:

I just got this program a few days ago and am trying out TextNow and TextFree. I think the price is definitely fair considering what I'd have to shell out to AT&T to bump my plan up to the $15/month plan (on the $5 plan now).
However, I'm finding about one in every eight messages I send (out) gets lost entirely. Anyone else having this problem? The person I'm texting happens to be on Virgin Mobile and he didn't get about 2-3 of my 10 messages today. I don't know that I can rely on a program where I'll always have to ask "did you get my last message?"

One out of four messages didn't reach it's intended recipient today. Anyone else experiencing this problem?
We had an unfortunate bug that caused us some data loss last night. For users experiencing issues today it would be best to reinstall the app. If you are unable to send messages to friends who also have TextNow, they may need to reinstall their app as well.

I am receiving spam text messages from 2 people and it is not on purpose every minute i get the same text from them..can i block them? or stop it somehow?
It has happened to me twice. Once to a person on Virgin Mobile and today, the recipient was on Sprint.
I sent more than 150 messages, in and out. I can verify because I have my textnow set up with google voice. When I sign onto google voice, it has the number of messages in total. And I know none of the messages got lost because we kept an ongoing conversation without any messages not being replied to.
well I think you are in a different situation then because I don't have it set up with GV and few of my text are being received.
I have a person in my life whose phone bill I pay, that doesn't want to ask all their contacts to switch over to a new Google Voice number. Understandable.
She sends/receives text messages from me more than anyone else, so I figure I'd set her up with a TextNow app/account, just for communicating with me, and I'd still save a few bucks.
So my question is, where do you put the *@textnow.me address in your Address Book for this person, and still have their picture show up in TextNow? Phone field? Email field?

If your other person will be the one with TEXTNOW and you will use your phone's regular text messaging.
If you also have an Iphone, that would be in the email field.
Just a note if you have both an Iphone, and you just want to communicate with each other why not use some of the free messenger app like yahoo messenger. Unless you will ask her to use the TEXTNOW too to text the other people.
