Everton looks quite high to me.
But after last season I’d settle for 11th. Especially if we can win another European cup!

Agreed!

I'm also holding out hope for The Hatters to finish above the drop zone.

BOYS IN GOLD WIN AGAIN!!

Yeah, if we end up in 10th that will be fantastic, but if we get anywhere mid-table along side Brighton, West Ham and Brighton, I'll take it. :)

VG's reasoning - about Everton - is that Sean Dyche has had all Summer to work with the squad without too many interruptions, and that _may_ be an advantage. But - of course - with a bad start we'll probably be in the swamp all season...

Sweden
Following (not watching) England - Colombia WWC right now 1-1, seems tight 53' minutes in.
Australia won the other quarter over France 7-6 (after extension and penalties) - good tight games.

Now 2-1 to England.

Wondering which will be best for Sweden in a potential Finals of course, but it really doesn't matter.
If we will win it has nothing to do with the contenders, but everything to do with our game, but it will of course be adapted to who we meet. But we have to get there 1st too.
Just speculating...😁

Chaos at the gates.

Arsenal v Forest kick off delayed.
Unfortunately, we seem to have attempted to introduce a new e-ticketing system, which, not surprisingly, has not worked out well. Not at all.

To my mind, it should have been tested - thoroughly and comprehensively - before being introduced, especially at a home match for the first game of the season.

Fans spend more than enough money on tickets, which are now eye-wateringly expensive, and out of reach for many.

Thus, at the very least, attending a home game should be a seamless and enjoyable experience for them, not one where they are stressed and have become experimanetal guinea pigs in some techbros new fantasy system that has broken down because it may have been inadequately tested, or because of a failure to anticipate or identify potential problems with the system before they occurred on a match day, leaving thousands of people - fans - stranded outside the stadium when the match was scheduled to start. Not good enough.

That one is on us, I'm afraid.

I think it will be an England v Sweden final. Looking at how each team has played, in my opinion Sweden have shown to be the better team, better tactics, skill and stamina. Spain are very good but I think Sweden will edge it. Both Australia and England have ridden their luck through the competition but based on skill, England should edge it. It would have been nice to have a Sweden v Spain final because both teams have shown just how good they are, not needing luck to get through.

And relax.

Win and 3 Points.
Good news.

However, playing at home, with a strengthened team, I would have expected this result.

Now, I know that this is still very early days, and the team will improve, but, but, but...

However, some concerns remain:

1: This sloppy careless tendency, nay habit, of throwing away leads, conceding after we have gone ahead and (apparently) wrapped the game up. We do this far too often.

In truth, Forest could have - no, should have - scored one or two more goals. With some justice, they could have claimed a point, - okay, we shaded it and deserved to win (just about).

2: While the transfer window is still open, it wouldn't hurt to look a little more closely at our defence.

3: Bukayo Saka: Terrific player, but - sometimes - not so hot when he is shooting on goal. Today, yes, he scored an excellent goal, but some of his corners were careless, and, at times, he is not putting decent (or half decent) chances away; moreover, last season, if memory serves, he missed quite a few many penalties.

We'll see - Australia is really good this year too (with their Swedish coach - Tony Gustavsson) so England might even be an 'easier' game for us. Especially if Sam Kerr, who's considered one of the best players in the world - sometimes the best even, is fit to play for Australia. If so I might consider them a bigger threat to Sweden.

Ah well, we will play Spain on Tuesday, then we'll see how it goes in Australia - England on Wednesday 🔥

You guys were always going to beat Forest though, right?

IMHO, I feel the Gunners are back on track.

A draw away on the opening day at Bournemouth isn’t too bad a result. Considering we didn’t make our purchases sooner, I’ll take it.

Luton off to a poor start.
