I like it so far......i am used to phones with a physical home button so getting used to the on screen software buttons...... The new Sense 6 UI is very nice and very fast. The phone is very fast indeed. I like the curved back and the way it fits in my hand. Then the boom sound is so nice! I love the way this phone sounds! I am happy so far...will take some outdoor pictures later today.

I have a question, not specific to the M8 but rather to using multiple phones on Verizon. Did you add another line and get the M8 with its own number or did you buy the phone unlocked and just switch over your sim from the current phone you're using?

I'm curious because I want to keep my Note 3 even if I pick up the M8, and I was wondering what people typically do when they use multiple phones. It seems that switching out the sim would be a pain. I don't really care about the cost of adding another line if thats what I should do. I just wanted to know how others go about having multiple phones in their daily rotation.

I always see people on many forums saying they use multiple phones and I was wondering how they go about it in a convenient way.

I had a line on Verizon open that had available upgrade for their "Next" program. So i paid $135 upfront to a new loan contract with the M8. Now i can pay it off anytime I want are not tied to a contract.
I have multiple phones....but most are on different carriers.....I have TMO (not for long) AT&T and Verizon

So I got to play around with the M8 dummy today.

Obviously as a dummy phone it wasn't 100% like for like, but just gave a good indication of the size.

It feels fine in hand, but it's definitely a case of trying to understand why HTC couldn't make the screen slightly smaller, or ideally the bezels more cleverly designed.

They had it right next to the M7 and this just confirmed my confusion as to HTC's decision.

But it definitely felt nice, and I'm sure 95% of people buying it will be happy.

I don't like Sony's android skin tbh

Fair enough. I've never personally used it myself, only can go off what I've read.

I couldn't resist and got the M8 last night. It has been pleasant surprise so far. the camera is not as bad as everyone seem to make it out to be. Here are some pictures taken with auto focus on and no editing. the camera is not as good as my Galaxy S4 but it is not bad at all!

Hey, as long as you like it, that's all that matters. If the pics from the One meet your needs/expectations, who is anyone else to say otherwise?

Enjoy your new phone.

Pictures look a little blurry. Outdoor pics don't look that sharp. Does this camera have OIS?

Yeah, they do look blurry, and they lack a lot of detail.

I'd say it's as bad or even worse than what bloggers and reviews are saying.

I'm sorry but even my SGS3 takes better pictures! Seriously! To this date I'm still very impressed with the picture quality of my SGS3.

I would like to know if the new One feels heavy (like if it starts to feel heavy and uncomfortable due to size after 15 continuous minutes using the phone).

i'd love to have on of these always been an HTC guy but I'm not sure how I would fit it in with my 5s.

Thanks for posting these sample shots! Sadly, these prove all the reviewers correct. This camera is WEAK. These shots are in the most ideal conditions and aren't sharp at all, or even "pop".

Also interested in hearing about battery life from those who already have the phone.

Well I broke down and got one:

I'll post a comparison to my Note 3 once I use it a few days.

It took forever to get it in the store even though I ordered it online for in-store pick-up. Then the Verizon rep tried to talk me into all sorts of cases and screen protectors I didn't want. All told it took about 1.5 hours to pick-up a phone I already ordered

Photos on the site above look great, best left to the experts:)

Like Josh said, if it takes an expert to take decent photos with this camera, the average user is screwed..

On the bright side, the average user will love that 5MP front facing camera..

Wowed by the scenery - not so much by the images..

Interesting but he's a pro and had ridiculous scenery at hand!

What about more "real life" photos for us boring people?

Actually looking at those images whilst the subject matter is beautiful I'm not convinced on the photos once more.

There is a lack of detail, and once more where there is a light clear area the camera tends to burn out those areas resulting in just patches of white with no detail captured due to the overexposure.

The cave ones actually look very pixalated closer up too.

What would have really been nice would have been had the photographer taken same images with another 'non ultra pixel' camera and post the comparison shot - then we would see the benefit and negative of the camera rather than just be in awe of stunning scenery.

I have been comparing lots of photos between the M8 and S4. The photos on my S4 have a ton more color and the colors do pop out at you. The M8 photos are good.....but they just do not stand out and seem to lack detail. I tried to crop a photo from the M8 and it did not go so well. I might return it and get a Nokia Icon......

Yep that was my experience with the M7 and S4 too. :( and it's a genuine shame, because it just doesnt have to be.

Seriously HTC you have such an otherwise beautiful handset, lots of great features and you compromise on something which didn't need the compromise. Especially given the Desire's 13mp camera.

However with Blinkfeed and HTC Zoe's now reportedly coming to 'all android' handsets - I think I'll just hold onto my GE S4 and get those apps when they are available.

They probably have a 2 year contract which is a shame... Everything else HTC has listened to which makes me believe that their hands are tied..
