I don't want to raise hopes here...But...It's still down this AM Uk time, and that graphic DOES look like the one they usually use for updates. Normally see the yellow one, but then again, they have updated the look of the store recently...Could be nothing!

Concur with this. The iPhone Apple store App is also down. It seems real! Come on new iMac!!

07:45 here in the UK and still down...they probably just do it for a giggle so they can laugh at these threads :D

If the iMac was being updated today I would expect the Mac page on the site to be down to for updates.

They maybe be preparing for next week, so they release Mountain Lion, and can quickly switch to new products (as with wwdc). Whether that would be a new iMac or a the Thinderbolt Firewire converter.

Can hope, but been through this process too often now to get really excited.

Last year, the Mac Page was not updated straight away either..

I just hope that Apple are not using G4S to update their website :D

I keep getting the broken HTML site, when I scroll down to the 'New to the Store' part, MBP is still top.

The Mac pages never go down during a refresh. They are updated at the last moment just before the store comes back up. You can often see the specs there before the store comes up again. Usually you'll see odd things on the Mac pages, like graphics being the wrong size when the store itself is down.

Unfortunately it all loads ok to me. And Mac Mini specs are the same...

Hoping for the surprise iMac release though.

yep, thats what it said before.. same thing

Same tag as before.

Sometimes, the "New Mac mini" type graphic appears before the spec gets updated. Didn't it happen with the mac pro a few weeks ago? Anyway, usually by 8.30am (BST) we'll know...

Like being on the UK site for store, and when you click on Mac pages you get diverted to the US pages and prices quoted in dollar? Yep. That's what's happening right now...Chicken little moment perhaps but I am calling it! The mac minis will be refreshed today. Imagine the stink it would cause if the iMacs were not!

oh come on! I was thinking on buying the actual mac mini on Amazon but I thought: "hey, let's check on MacRumors Forums about next update" and now I got this notice! Apple Store still down so... what to do!? if a new mac mini is released, how long it will take to be able to buy it in Amazon?

Which country?

On the UK site if you click on any link it takes you to the US site - we shall see soon!

when the store goes down, it always diverts pages to the US site.

Amazon normally sells new products along side older models a day or so after

The Apple Store is down as of 7/18/12 12:30AM hopefully it means a new iMac and Mac mini. It most likely is not, but is still worth saying.

No matter how many times the Apple site goes down for routine maintenance on Wednesday mornings, there are always these speculation threads where people freak out and think updates are coming. Then, in the morning, the site comes back up with no new products. It happens again and again. One would think people would have learned the pattern by now, but it appears some never learn.

Speaking of learning you should learn to leave people alone to have their fun.
Some people with superiority complexes simply don't get it

It has nothing to do with "superiority complexes". It has to do with being realistic and having enough experience with Apple's site history not to be fooled by these wild and baseless speculations. And everyone has the right to post in any thread, even if their point of view differs from yours.

So according your experience with Apple's site history. Do you think new Mac Mini will be released today or when approximately?

It won't be released today. As to when it will be released, only Apple knows.

I think updated Macs is a little too much, maybe the actual release of Mountain Lion?

I have to agree with you, it would make little sense to release a new iMac range, but remember.....This is Apple we are discussing here, and seasoned observers know that it's EXACTLY the kind of thing they do! I'm watching from the sidelines as I'm not upgrading my iMac this year...but a buddy has placed responsibility for his first Mac in my hands...We are after a 21.5" for him, and I told him to wait and see what comes down the pipe. Even if it isn't today, I remain convinced that the iMac will see a refresh before the end of the year.
