I don't know how I lived without iFile for so long. I travel (away from my home pc) for work and now I can do what I could only do when I got home each weekend)

Getting jailbreak apps on a new iphone

Hey guys,

I just jailbroke my iphone and bought some of the cydia store apps like QuickReply, OverBoard, and a couple more. I'm lovin it so far. :)

Before I spend more on JB apps, I wanted to know what would happen if I upgrade when the next iphone comes out. Do I get to take them over to the new phone just like the app store?

I want to buy MyWi, and some of the other nice apps, but don't want to pay for them again, as I am on 3G and am looking forward to upgrading as soon as the next phone comes out.

Your purchases are tied with the accounts you used to pay it with. So for a newer iPhone you can just use the account and it will make that program available for the IMEI. Also developers accept emails on changing a IMEI for certain programs too. So you have 2 methods to get the apps again without having to pay again ;):D
 
I got a little bit of a problem,
when I press Games I go to Page 5 instead of 1, Page 2 -> 4, 4->2, you get the picture, thats with modmyi, wonder if you know why that happens?


and I wonder if you could change the weather forecast to whats going on in your calendar, like having "Lock Calendar" instead of the forecast =)

otherwise, nice tutorial you made :)

Thanks for the reply, good to know. Now I can start buying away. :)

I've found that the apps you have to pay for work better and don't cause problems with my phone, to me it's worth paying for a better experience.

I know I'm a little "late" but did you ever fix the problem? You had to make sure you have the order on each page exactly the same too.

The new non beta version of QR just came out a week ago. And its freaking awesome.

This is assuming the Iphone 4G ever gets Jailbroken and any of the apps are compatible...

bitesms... costs like $12 though I think. Wish the dev would lower the price a little, just seems a little high considering other apps like lockinfo are only $5. Anyways, some of my favs...

Yes you need backgrounder. Proswitcher offers you a method to switch between the apps that you have put in the background with backgrounder.

yeah i figured that out the hard-ish way with lots of reinstalling and respringing of backgrounder and proswticher haha
 
Hey, after i've installed backgrounder and proswitcher, Overboard icon just vanished :confused:

No. It's weird.
When i install overboard, proswitcher icon and section in the settings just disappear. When i install proswitcher, overboard icon disappears :confused:

Well, i'll just let overboard go. Proswitcher is much more worth :)
 
I'd just add CyDelete. For me it's awesome because i don't have to jump in cydia everytime i want to delete an app. Boring!!! :mad:
