here's what i use. bought it for AED 20. thats approx US$ 5.479.
Been using it for about a month now. no complaints. a LOT of ppl have asked me where i got it from n its got quite a lot of attention.
its plastic (ofcourse), fits tight. no finger smudge marks when holding it.

a week later that case would be all scuffed up. I have the Griffin case white is rubber on the sides and clear on the back and yes, its all scuffed up

Colorant Case C2 Clear for iPhone 5 - Clear×White

I have had the speck candy shell on my iphone 3gs for years.

It kept my phone well and truly protected, but it adds a lot of bulk and doesn't age well.

Dot

Sure thing, let me try to explain:

The Tones is a very good case. It doesn't add much bulk and it's consistent and makes you feel your iPhone is protected. I like the design and feel of this case but it only has one downside for me: the material the case is made of is soft and if you're not careful, it might slip from your hands. Apart from that, love this case.

The Belkin I have is the one from the picture but I have a white iPhone 5, and you see a little bit of the back, but not too much. Its made of a adherent material, so its grip is good and it won't slip from your hands as easy as the Tones.

All in all, I love both but since I've been using the Tones since day 1, I switched so I have the thin Belkin case so I can "feel" more of the iPhone.

Hope this helped :)

I have both cases too. Tones in black and Belkin sheer in green sides. I like both but think the opposite.

Find the Sheer more slippery and thicker than the Tones case. Sheer lip steals more real estate from the front screen but both have a good raised lip.

I have bought 2 x 0.5mm Caze cases, definitely the thinnest case you can buy for the iPhone. However both cases haven't held up well on my iPhone 5, breaking a cracking too easily. I had the same case on the iPhone 4 for two years with no problems and can't recommend it enough.

Possibly the extra length on the 5 has weakened the design, anyone else got a suggestion for a replacement? Thin and see through.

I came back to using the Tones again. I love that case.

+1
Of the 25 cases I've had over 4 phones, this Tones has it all. Perfect fit. No large lip overlap but has lay on the table. Firm in hand. Doesn't lose shape with repeated removals. Looks smart and very thin. Doesn't collect dust underneath.

I have a white iPhone and wanted the slimmest minimalistic case in white for a white on white look. You would think that would be simple as I'm not looking for much. Not true. It's been an exhausting search with so many TPU options which might work in a dark color but definitely not good in white as they discolor and turn gross very quickly. So then I was on to the plastic and polycarbonate cases.

After purchasing so many cases that I lost track, I have happily settled on the Pinlo Slice in white. I know there are many ebay cases out there in the same mold and design except for they don't make them in a solid white, which Pinlo does. The Pinlo Slice is extremely thin and only offers scratch protection, but it offers white on white (the white is a perfect match to the white iPhone), nice textured grip with no branding. Very minimal, well made and best of all is scratch resistant and doesn't discolor. If the white gets dirty, I can clean it up like new with some alcohol. Love this case. I'm finally finished my case search. Thank goodness.

The Grip Candy Sheer is thicker than the Tones? Really?

Could you take some pictures?

Yes, but not by much. About 1 mm, maybe a bit less.

They are both good cases.

EDIT: the sheer is also about 1-2 mm wider and longer too.

This just re-kindled my interest in the Tones. Thanks!

Have you had any issues with the camera cutout wearing out like some posts report?

Have to agree with you guys...the SwitchEasy Tones sure has the right look and from what you guys are saying, the right thinness and is sturdy enough. Still one flaw for me though is the bottom lightning port opening is not large enough to accommodate the 30 pin to lightning adapter sold in Apple Stores...so sad otherwise I would buy one myself.:(
