Looks like SGP's slim armor.

Completely different design then SGP's slim armor and material. I really impressed with this case because there is no any third party companies logos etc. The back of the case completely looks like the actually back of the iPhone with the Apple logo etc.
Here is how it looks on my iPhone 5 on the picture.

Its the same style case.

I'm using the Grip Candy (black/ice - non-transperant back) right now, and I think it is the closest to the perfect case that I will ever find. Even though I think that, something has me always on the lookout for a better case. I was looking at the Tones before, and since you have both, I wanted to get your opinion on the two.

Also, I'm looking for the Grip Candy Sheer that has the transparent black back and the black sides. I don't know the name of the color combo, but I think they sell it at Verizon. Since it's the one you pictured, do you have this one? And do you have the black iPhone? I was wondering if you could see anything through the back.

What screen protector do you use/recommend along with the belkin case? Or, does it come with a screen protector?

Here are some specs for the defender and commuter. The commuter is a bit slimmer, overall.

I don't have a published weight for the defender without the holster.

Defender:
Weight & Dimensions
Weight (with holster): 4 oz / 114 g
Dimensions (with holster): 5.42 in x 3.15 in x 1.36 in / 137.67 mm x 79.88 x 34.47 mm
Dimensions (without holster): 5.32 in x 2.75 in x 0.64 in / 135.12 mm x 69.9 mm x 16.18 mm

Commuter:
Weight & Dimensions
Weight: 1.32 oz / 37.3 g
Dimensions: 5.12 in x 2.57 in x 0.56 in / 129.7 mm x 65.3 mm x 14.1 mm

It doesn't come with a screen protector, and I recommend the SGP ultra crystal ones! They're absolutely perfect for this case IF you can put it on perfectly. There's no gap between the edge of the screen protector and the case's lip, and there's also no screen protector pull up. I did have that issue, but I moved it ever so slightly, and it's gone. That's how close you have to be. The SGP ultra crystal also has the ideal cutouts for a case. Front camera, speaker/mic, and home button; one precise hole for each of those.

How much drop protection does the belkin case offer? Anyone have first or second-hand experience? I haven't found one of those highly scientific youtube drop tests so far. :)

Speck Pixelskin for iPhone 5 and sticker bomb skins. Perfect combo for me.

I've had a chance to use the otterbox defender for a few days. Not to put too fine a point on it, but this thing is a pig. It's a big, fat, ugly pig. I've literally stopped using my iphone as a result of all of the functionality issues created by the case:

1. lag and slop in using the touchscreen. The SP sits slightly above the screen, so you have to depress the SP first to make contact.

2. It's very difficult to activate the home button since the protective rubber is so thick. It's also difficult to see the center of the home button in a dark room, making it that much more difficult to use.

3. The huge "lip" surrounding the screen makes typing a chore. It also impedes swiping as well. Even holding the phone is inconvenient due to the thickness of the case.

4. the size makes it difficult to fit into a pocket.

5. the weight and bulk even makes my jacket sag to one side.

What's the point of having 10X the drop protection you actually need (numerous kids are posting drop tests on youtube where they throw this thing onto concrete from the 2nd or 3rd floor window) if you don't even want to carry the phone with you???

I'm sure this phone rates at least an 8/10 for protection (it's not crush proof or waterproof). But for overall functionality, I would have to rate it a generous 6/10.

Protection: 8/10
Functionality: 6/10

I hate this case, but appreciate the protection.

I am VERY MUCH looking forward to using the IP5 with a different case.

I have the commuter on order, but apparently the plastic outer shell allows the case/phone to slide around with reckless abandon.

So, I'm looking for a case with excellent protection with a rubberized/texturized outer layer/coating with only as much material as is absolutely necessary.

Very disappointed with otterbox so far.

After spending far too much time researching cases, I've selected.....drum roll please.......

The belkin grip candy sheer.

The runners up include:

-speck candyshell; a very highly reviewed case, with it's only notable demerit being the degree of difficulty in removing the phone from the case. Too bad.

-otterbox defender. It just saddens me to even look at this case. Using the IP5 with this case is an exercise in frustration.

-commuter; great protection, and a bit less bulky than the defender, but the slick plastic shell allows for easy sliding and dropping.

-not into leather cases, can't use the phone nude, etc. etc.

-I actually bought two defenders, and a commuter, as I had heard from several salespeople that they offer great protection (they don't mention the 'issues' with these cases however); perhaps I'll flip them on ebay? Or just return. The selection is just overwhelming.

Did you finally get them in? Post pics! Also, does your PixelSkin HD feel loose like some have reported?

I thought it would have come already, so far I received the PixelSkin HD and the SGP Slim Armor, no sticker yet. I can say so far that the cases are very good and authentic, no copycats. Waiting for the stickers to arrive and apply them on my iPhone 5. Will report when they arrive :)

Wow! Do you have a review of the case?

How well does the camera work with this case? The opening for the lens is smaller than it is in other cases.

Let me get home and i'll take some pics ;)

Edit: Here they are.

Very nice! Euros are better... But the JDM scene is hot!

I don't know if you had the phone in the case before the skin or not, but I was wondering if the looseness issue was ever fixed like Speck said it would be.

Before the Skin, I tried it out and it was good, not loose at all. Love the case :)

BungeeCase

Came across this interesting case - a novel approach. Instead of improving the ability of a case to withstand a fall, stop the phone slipping from your grasp in the first place: www.bungeecase.com

I'm using a belkin candy grip. I'm hoping an adapter allows me to use my non apple branded headphones with the iphone5. The belkin case doesn't allow for the use of thicker L shaped plug housings.

I'm pairing the belkin case with a simple microfiber cloth sack/case when I need to carry the phone in pockets with lint, like a jeans pocket. The microfiber sack was originally designed for use as a case with sunglasses. Inexpensive solution, IMO.
