Ceramic coat the entire car. The XPEL Ultimate Plus film (PPF), is on the front, lights, mirrors, front part of the doors, A pillar, front part of the roof, and the boot...

I have to ask, did the dealership ceramic coat the whole car or just the hood/front facia? (Some car owners want the cost saving ratio when applying clear bras/ceramic kits) Also something else I did, [but it’s not as common, because it is more expensive], but I also ceramic coated the wheels, it’s an adequate protectant against brake dust/road grime that cleans much easier. Plus, they have a really unique sheen to them, looks stellar.

Whatever excites you and gets the blood flowing...

Definitely this new BMC wing, looks pretty stunning, love that it's specifically designed for convertibles (since the deck is slightly different).

I only marked the drill locations yesterday, today is Dremel day :D

Started with a Dremel and then stepped up to a final 1/4" on a normal drill motor, spot on, used Goop on the fasteners to seal and lock 'em down, near perfect fitment, looks amazing, really sets off the rear (that's a little plain on the convertible without any kind of wing).

Just hope your boot struts are up to it. I had a Renault 11 years ago with a cosworth type rear wing, huge (came with the car). But you had to prop open the trunk with an umbrella otherwise it would just slam shut. Not very practical. But the full side skirts and front splitter meant it looked the part, even if the engine was lacking!

Yeah, it's pretty lightweight and the OEM trunk (boot) struts are ridiculously overpowered :D I think they're designed for a trunk with a wing! In fact, a few folks with no rear wing have actually removed one strut and added a pull strap to make it easier to close.

This is kind of cool, when I got my OEM S2000 rear wing (I think it was actually a JDM part), it came with replacement trunk springs, to offset the additional weight, very clever :)

Here's one from the naughty end (*snicker*) :p

Front band adjusted, pan buttoned up, refilled with type ATF...and now the engine doesn't want to run.

It seems to be a fuel starvation issue as best as I can tell since it will run on ether in short spurts. I see fuel flowing through the fuel filter, but I'm not sure if it's an issue of the new carb float/valve I installed not behaving correctly, the pickup screen in the tank being clogged up with sediment(I don't let the MG get below 1/4 tank because that's happened to me a couple of times on it) or something else.

A lot of people proclaim the HIF carb on this car as a superior design. I will concede that it has its good points, but with an HS or earlier I could take it apart enough still mounted to the engine to figure out this stuff. With the HIF, pretty much any troubleshooting has to be done off engine.

Very nice. I’m not brave enough to take a drill to my car.

Hahaha, I figured, what's the worst thing that happens? Unused holes under the wing? New trunk?

I punched the first hole with a small 1/8" bit using a Dremel for really good control, then stepped up two sizes with a regular drill motor once I had a pilot hole. The holes/wing connection points are available through the underside of the trunk under a cosmetic cover, pretty easy. I covered the screws with Auto Goop, so they're locked down, and the holes should be nicely sealed up / water tight.

This was my second GT that I did almost the exact same thing, so a lot less nervous this time around :D

I didn't know this thread existed. Great thread with some great cars. Here is my 18 month SL. Due to change it next year. Miss the back seats so will get the E-Class 450 Cabriolet

Having small back seats is more often than not, helpful for us, and one of the reasons for my car selection. Heck, a few weeks ago, I went to a great cruise in, with my two lovely ladies, dropped them at the resort, went to the cruise, this wouldn't have been possible with a 2-seater.

I mean, we have a roomy 6-seater when needed, but sometimes, it's hard not to take the convertible :D

Nice car, why did you blur out the number plate? :)
Standard practice in the UK. A number plate is the key to finding out information about the car’s owner, without his or her consent. When a picture of a number plate is on the internet, it’s available for the world to see at any given time.

And you can discover a lot from a number plate. There are ways to discover a person’s name, address and more. This information can be accessed online if you enter the car registration on a certain website, or through paid services.

Private, paid services will dish out information regardless of someone’s background; they simply take a payment and send out the information. Whilst this information isn’t necessarily ground-breaking, for a complete stranger to know your address can be worrying.

So you made your way over from the Apple Watch forum to the Car thread. Good choice.😁 [By the way, I decided on the black 44 MM stainless, the DLC coating is worth the price alone/passed on the titanium.]

Anyways, nice ride (White really makes that car pop). As an American, it’s so weird to see the steering wheel on the right side of the vehicle, I’ve never been to Europe before, so that would be an interesting transition learning to drive on that side.

I understand the reason and do it myself if I ever share pics of my cars on the net. I’m also from the UK. Your reg is in full view on your avatar though so I wondered that’s all.

LOL!

Oh my. I was wondering what the hell you were on about and thought you'd taken fancy to a bit of magical dragon.

Just discovered this thread, looks like it was made for me!

Here's my daily driver. 2010 Focus S Mk2, Duratec 2.0 powered, White Suede exterior, Jet Black and Sandy Beige interior.

Mods I've done:
CAI w/ FSWerks green filter
Accel Performance Coil Packs
NGK Platinum Plugs
Shorty Antenna
Eibach 1.6" lowering springs (rear)
Dog Bone lower engine mount
Fiat 500 License plate bracket
LED head and tail lights
LED interior lights
Bluetooth 5.0 in-car system
Trunk subs from the SES model

Coming up: tint, cherry bomb exhaust, strut bars, tune, wing, roof rack, splitter, black out all chrome, refinish and tint headlights

This May I ceramic coated and corrected the paint and refinished the black trim pieces. Fun, and still getting 35+ MPG

lol Yeah I did. Good choice on the stainless. MY SBSS is still mint after a year thanks to the DLC coating.
I think we are unique in Europe as across all of Great Britain and Ireland we are the only country in Europe with the steering wheel on the wrong side of the car and drive on the wrong side of the road :). Quite a few other countries from the ex-British Empire now known at the Commonwealth drive on the left side of the road including our friends in Australia,New Zealand, Africa and Asia.
Love the photos on here of American cars. I always loved yank tanks. Always has bold styling from the fins and chrome of the fifties to the muscle cars of the sixties and early seventies. Fantasic and good to see it back. The Mustang in the only available american muscle car that is right hand drive in the UK. I did try to order a 5.0L convertible but the guy in the Ford dealership told me that it ws a 6 month waiting list and didn't seem interested in selling me one and so i went and ordered the Merc instead.

Good spot. I have changed my avatar photo

So, thanks to Mazda, the only cars that are not obsolete currently are BEV and fuel cell.
