That would be great. As much of an achievement as the "coral" design was, I never felt it was particularly special. The "it's like a car, not a house" philosophy reduces its implicit wonder.

WTH - if it's "stuck" as a call box how can it change? I do NOT like that at all. I understand changing the interior, but keep the dang outside the same. :( Maybe it will look better on screen?

THe Beeb have released the new 2010 logo

I like the concept, but mulling over it all day I don't like the execution. It looks too amateur with the gloss and lens flares.

Waters of Mars

Did he just break time? I hope the ultimate out come of Tennant's swan song isn't undoing all of RTD's lore (last great time war and everything that came after it). Reset everything with a clean slate for Moffat. The Doctor is no longer the center of the universe and goes back to being a fun loving care free fugitive. No more last of the Timelords weight of all reality on the Doctor's shoulders.
I didn't think things would change to drastically when they chose Smith looking all emo or goth, but the new logo, new Tardis, and the first pics of Smith on set make me feel like this is going to be far more drastic of a change than from Eccleston to Tennant. Even though I like Moffats episodes best.

I enjoyed it - although there was far too much running for my liking!

Looking forward the Tennant/Davies finale this christmas. I hope the two episodes follow Davies' recent nihilistic trend.

Did he just break time?
Maybe, maybe not – but it might be that time has broken the Doctor...

Full marks to the BBC though – I can't off the top of my head think of much other BBC One early Sunday evening family viewing which ends with the heroine topping herself.

I rather enjoyed it, and Miss Jaffa Cake became all unnecessary over the mean Doctor at the end. :D

I thought the actual meat of the story was a bit poor. They were building up to having some monster in the glacier but instead they just blew the whole thing up? Was looking forward to that .
Loved the ending though. When the Doctor snaps up until the end of the trailer; brilliant! But it just reminds me that I'm really going to miss Tennant.

Absolutely blown away by "Waters of Mars." Imho, one of the best of the RTD era. "Timelord Victorious" - gave me chills.

I told it would be scary. It was not.

It was, however, very good as always! End was unexpected too!

Dates and times of the Christmas special now confirmed:

The End Of Time, Part One
Friday 25 December
6.00-7.00pm BBC ONE

The End Of Time, Part Two
Friday 1 January
6.40-7.55pm BBC ONE

I'm kinda surprised the beeb didn't go for the 1st ep the week before Xmas and the 2nd episode on Xmas day, would get a bigger audience than new years day?

I have to say, as silly as the results of The Master's plan is, the big ending blew me away. Rock on RTD (for one last ep ).

As one of my friends put it spectacularly:
this episode of Doctor Who was brought to you by the creative talents of mentally defective babies with broken pencils. We hope you enjoy the most awful piece of crap ever written. Who would have thought a confusing and erratic plotline would be an asset to a programme...

Couldn't agree more, I've never been a fan of the new Dr Whos ridiculously stupid "plot" twists. Can't say the christmas special gave me any more of a reason to enjoy it... Sorry
