Yep, currently it is planned on v2.2. It's hard to give an ETA though, but I'll keep an eye on that issue.

Since yesterday, having Adguard turned on is causing many websites to render strangely (seems like CSS files are being stripped out), including MacRumors, Ars, etc.

Hello all!

We are finally ready to publish new version of Adguard to the Safari extensions gallery!

This time beta test has taken more than a month, but it was worth it. We have fixed tons of bugs and polished the extension. I am proud to say that Adguard is the first full-scaled ad blocker using the new API.

I'd like to say thanks to macrumors users who took part in the beta test, your feedback was very helpful!

Full release notes:
https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardBrowserExtension/releases/tag/v2.1.5

Now it will take some time for updated version to get to the Safari extensions gallery.
If you don't want to wait, release build is available here: https://chrome.adtidy.org/app.html?app=Adguard.safariextz

If you have the old version installed, will it automatically update to this new version?

Yes, it should be updated after new version appears in Safari extensions gallery.

I had the beta installed, then installed 2.1.5 from the link in your post #205 above, and it left me with both the beta and 2.1.5 installed together... so I just uninstalled the beta after.

2.1.5 is working perfectly so far. Thanks.

And how will I know when it's updated?

You will see the 2.1.5 version number in this Safari preference pane.

Why doesn't adguard (at least the new version, i haven't tested with old api yet) keep manually selected filtering rules on some sites? Everytime i have to manually select the content that i want to block again.

Could you please provide the rule created by Adguard? It should be in your user filter.

I guess this could be a bug, but I don't yet understand what is causing it.

The rules seem to be ok, so I guess the issue is more complicated.

Here is what I need to know to reproduce it:
1. The list of filters you use.
2. The website where you add and test this rule.
3. Also try clearing user filter before doing it.

1. The list of filters are the default ones + Anti-Adblock Killer and Ru list
2. The website is http:// appdn.net (i left a blank space)
3. Already tried to clear user filter, it looks like a bug

@Zoddino

Ok, I got it. Cosmetic rules are disabled for that website due to anti-adblock script, that's why a rule created by you does not work.

We will change filters and enable cosmetic rules back (and also block that message):
https://github.com/AdguardTeam/ExperimentalFilter/issues/1589

I've also filed a bug report, we should not allow cosmetic rules creation when these rules are disabled for the website:
https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardBrowserExtension/issues/168
[doublepost=1455796115][/doublepost]It seems that Apple has finally reviewed new Adguard version (usually they send a confirmation email, but not this time).

So, new version is officially available in Safari extensions gallery:

Switched over to Adguard from Wipr. Definitely faster.

One question - is it not possible to block social media buttons with the new content blocking?

With Adguard you can choose your filters by clicking "Adguard settings" from the Adguard icon on the toolbar. Enabling "Social media filter" should do the trick.

Im using the latest version of adguard and see Google Ads unless I use the "Old API." (acceptable ads is set to off). Anyone else have this issue?

I'm not seeing them despite using the new API. However, I do see them on iOS.

What filters are you using?

I've installed Adguard both on Mac and iOS, and like it quite a bit. However, the filters don't seem to update for me automatically on iOS. Is this normal behaviour?

I noticed this as well. The latest update stated automatic background updating is supposed to work when connected to a WiFi network. However this hasn't worked for me.
