The biggest gripe I’ve seen is that the angle on the second hinge is not wide enough, thus view angles are too limited. I’ve seen folks saying that the maximum angle is steeper than the SKF and that’s just flat-out not true. I’ve attached a picture showing the MK maximum angle goes further beyond the max angle on the SKF. Not sure if folks just have not figured out the best way to flex it out to its max or what, but the range of motion here is very, very good for any use case I’ve thrown at it.
Seems like on your SKF, the fabric connecting the bottom and top part is still stiff / new ( shape like C and hang up in the air )
With time it will relax and rest flat on the table (shape like S) and it will give more max viewing angle ( more recline, i say about 5 ~ 7 degree more. Doesn’t sound much but big different).
Or to speed things up you can take it off and make a fold where it connects to the top part.
This guy also compared the SFK & MK 11” viewing angle. His SKF has a S like connector. Looks about the same.
I don’t have MK yet but my SKF 11” sits at 128 degree ( 52 when measure from the back). If the MK is spot on at 130degree then it provides a 2 degree advantage over SKF. Not that much but since the MK lifts the iPad closer to eye level it gives a more ergonomic position compared to SKF, for sure. ( same theory as how you dont adjust desktop monitor as recline as laptop)
