naked at the moment. i'm going to get a case, if i can find one i like, which is the problem.

even though i dropped it yesterday (thankfully on its back so the scratches arent on the screen) i still say no case.

I've got this one...

I like it. I want to find a way to remove the clip from the back, but other than that, it's great!

I bought the Griffen Elan for walking around:

Might order one of these for "fancy" case:

http://www.foofpod.com/

They make an iphone size now in lots of fancy fabrics. The seem sort of soft and snuggley for my iphone.

(yah i know how that sounds but i got one dammit. and i love it.)

It's even less manly for me to admit, but I love my Foofs! I have two for my iPods and one for my MBP. If you use your devices naked and just need a case to keep away the scratches they are fantastic. (Personally I always cringe at a beautiful Apple product covered up in some god ugly case.)

I'm looking for the incase sideways holster, that way I have a place to keep it outside my pocket and protected, but when I whip it out it's all naked (errhmm...the iPhone that is :D )

For $10 more you can get the top half too. :D I actually bought this case and love it. It's available at ATT stores.

I normally loathe cases. What's the point of protecting the device's casing if you are never going to see it anyway? However, given that there is no insurance on the phone and it is fairly slick, I grabbed this leather case. It's actually fairly nice, though the design is odd with the two "wings" at the top. I've since dropped it twice onto my tile floor and had no ill effects.

I like the foofs... but here's my question. The iphone is so smooth and slippery - what's to keep it from just sliding right out of the foof?

Only uncased when syncing.
It actually feels wierd uncased. I git the rubber case from the Apple store the evning I bought my iphone.
Do the screen guards affect the multitouch?

I use one only because it came with my case. Haven't noticed any difference with the touch screen.

Ahh, I bought that one too - and returned it...
I just didn't like the swivel-clip thing, and it sticks out like 1" from your waist.
However, the leather was really nice quality...

I didn't particularly like the swivel clip. I'll probably get the holster, made for these cases, from Case Mate too.

i dont use the dock so my phone is cased all the time. agreed taht it feels weird when its out of its case. which one did you pick up?

on another note: I HATE SCREEN GAURDS. on another note: I HATE SCREEN GAURDS. they're seldom necessary, especially with the iPhone.

Has anyone tried using the iPod sock on the iPhone? I use this for my Nano and it works fantastically (though I never put my Nano in the same pocked as my keys and coins).

Back when I bought my ipod (4g photo) it came with an included case that the ipod slipped into, covering the front and back completely, and it had a clip on the back (I'll try and find a photo of it). Has anyone found something like this for the iPhone? I know it may sound stupid, since you cannot access the touchscreen when it is in the case, but I like to have it in a case like this when I toss it in my bag, in the car, etc. Any suggestions?

Im not a big fan of the belt clips but I ordered this setup to have also with my black incase to switch out....

I got the holster also

This way the screen is not sticking out

I'm confused. Usually people either love or hate belt clips. Personally, I think only Batman and Bill Gates should have to privilege to use them... but thats just me. If you've already got a nice case, why order the belt-clip? Stand-alone belt clips that don't offer a case AND belt-clip combination are actually MORE dangerous then using the iPhone without anything; because the belt-clip makes it far more likely for the iPhone to fall onto the ground. Belt clips, wars, and Micro$oft are bad.

i'm reluctant to recommend a particular brand since its going to start sounding like spam, i just really think incase makes good products (i think thats okay to say.) at any rate, your local apple and att stores will have "slip" cases with clips on the back- just like the ones that used to come with select ipods.
(now they come with those horrific monstrosities they call cases)

Also:
I've found these cases work really well:
:p

When I first created this survey, I voted that sometimes I use the case, and sometimes I don't, however, with the incase (http://goincase.com/products/detail/protective-cover-cl59019) you can't take it on and off twice a day... or the bottom strip of rubber will soon become lose. (after about three months) of use*.

My incase is starting to do the same thing on the bottom. Also it is loosening up on the top left corner too. I'm also bummed out. This is only the 6th day of use.

The Case is fantastic. Very minimalistic but the rubber loosening up is making it look very cheap now. Took away from it's stealth sleekness.

Nice, Suggestion there !

See, I have this thing it's called a dock. It hooks up to my iMac and syncs my iphone. It's pretty genius.
But my only problem is I can't dock my iPhone when it's in the incase.

I'm sorry your iPhone didn't include the dock but in my situation it did and I like to use it.

Got one of those as well. Why would you want to remove the clip? just curious? I was hoping it would have a magnetic clip rather than velcro. Avoids everyone looking while you're trying to pull the phone out in church or a meeting.
