i notice you use the incase. i had that one for a day but noticed the rubber would stretch out.

exactly, I pointed that out as well. personally, they make some great cases. i think i'll be getting a leather case here pretty soon. (pending shipment of the invincible martian hyper-case ;) :D :p  )

:apple:

hush little iphone dont say a word

careful with that case, iPhone seems pretty lose in that case... I thought it was horrible.

I have to say, I completely disagree. I have one and I love it. I just tried shaking it and it didn't move at all. Are you sure you are talking about the Belkin? I had originally purchased the iSee and I returned that. That one WAS loose AND bulky. I have also read people saying it didn't snap closed tightly or it opened unexpectedly. I could see that happening if you don't have it in there correctly. You have to really pay attention and make sure all 5 points of contact are tightly snapped. Once that happens, it is golden. Just my 2 cents worth. :D

the thing about the Belkin (I have one) is that dirt gets in and makes it look crappy very quickly. Not to mention, if any of that dirt or dust is gritty, it takes a toll on the finish of the aluminum on the back and the chrome. I had one on for a few days but have since taken it off.....

Don't buy a clear iCase

I bought the clear plastic iCase for the phone. The inside of the back of the case was not completely smooth (had some bumps). It scratched the back of my phone. Of course, I didn't realize it until it was too late.

This case is a complete disaster to cause exactly what I was trying to prevent, ugh!

To all you Nudists...something to think about...

While for all intents and purposes this is a "tough" phone...I did the unthinkable yesterday...I dropped my prized possession on to the parking deck floor while attempting to pull it out of my jacket pocket! Luckily, the "fall" was a small one and the impact point small - occurring at one of the back-side corners.

The end result (outside of my trauma) was a very small (almost unnoticeable) "dimple" in the brushed aluminum surface just next to the mute button (top and back left corner of the phone).

My point?? It can and will eventually happen...you will drop it.

It's a slippery sucker...and it is not impervious to damage....if you can live with a crack or dent...then go for it...but the real question is: Can you live with a $600 phone (which has no insurance) and a cracked face?

That is false...This phone was not in a case but charging either on the guys computer or wall unit....He got a call and grab the phone quickly...Since the phone was still attached to the cord it snag and slammed back into the corner of a table....FYI Apple replaced it for free sinced happend in 24 hrs and customer complained about the length of the charging cord

Sorry, I did not mean that it was in a case when it broke.

By "cased. Not naked" I was advocating the use of a case.

And, no, it is not my phone.

i think that was an extreme example and if it was THAT easy to crack those screens... we'd see more then one person posting images.

dropped my phone today on the sidewalk. TONS of damage... then i realized that it was a piece of dog hair... not a scratch. :p

i also want to say... this guy really makes me mad=

GAAAA, I hate that little guy

Naked FTW. Having a naked iPhone is like a naked Jessica alba strolling down a nude beach filled with old farts. Every other phone is just an old fart compared to jessica.

Posted from my naked iphone.

i noticed that too. a little pebble got in mine and left a little dimple in the phone on the back. now i try to make sure my pockets are really clean. also, apple replaced my phone today because i had a issue with the battery usage meter. (it never came on). so my phone is in perfect condition and now i am hunting for the ultimate case. i sort of liked having the scratch 'cause i got used to it, but now i got to protect this new one.

an apple store employee said that most of the cases were made without having an ipod to test them on. They were only given the dimensions. He said to wait a few months for better cases.

so, while I'm at home, I use my iPhone naked... however every time I go someplace I throw my "SLEEK" case on. With stress tests and all, I'm wondering what people have decided to do. Comments/Poll replies appreciated.

ALSO: if you're using a case, post which one.

I use a "SLEEK" case.

Case + Screen Cover. On Monday after iDay, I was swarmed by co-workers who wanted to see my iPhone, and I handed it to all of them. Then I thought...how dumb is that? So I bought a Belkin case so that they can touch it without giving me a heart attack, and to generally protect it from scratches.

160 people don't use a case for their iFone™

My iFone™ hasn't come out of its case for a while... feels safer in there.

My case saved my iPhone yesterday. It slipped out of my hands while taking it out of my pocket. If not for the case my iPhone would have had some nasty scratches, mabe a dent. You people letting your iPhone go naked are crrrraaaazy.

i usually leave mine in a Marware silicon case

this one in black: http://www.marware.com/PRODUCTS/iPhone-Cases/Sport-Grip-for-iPhone

i love it. feels great in your hand. you can set it anywhere and it wont move, especially in the car. only thing is that w/ tight pockets, it can be annoying to put in and take out. the case grips to the side of your pockets a bit. but this is good for when i dont want it falling out of my pocket when im at the gym and such.

but the fit of this case is amazing, and the side buttons are all perfectly aligned and functional, i was amazed.

i also like having my case when letting other ppl handle my iPhone. i'm not as nervous as i would be without it on.

what kind of case do you have?

Definitely cased...

Yeah, in an incase protective cover (rubber, black). It's more for this phone's future owner because when 2.0 comes out, I'll be selling this one and I want it to be as close to mint as possible. Otherwise, I wouldn't care, it's a tool, not a work of art. :)

I agree

I take care of all my apple products because they re-sell very well... esp. in good condition.

Thats why I love my Macbook... I purchase it SOLEY to USE. and not to sell later. I'm going to run it into the ground. Makes things a lot easier... not havin' to worry.

i thought i was in the naked crowd, but i changed my mind and got the incase folio and a power support crystal film cover for the iphone. easier maintenance and peace of mind.
