What is your opinion about the adapter? Good quality? It looks good with the SS watch?
What is the max you can put on it 22mm or 24mm?
You bought it on Amazon?

The adaptor looks good to me. I'm presuming it's not stainless steal but you would never be able to know, looks good on my SS. I don't think it's going anywhere either, pretty sturdy.

To be honest, I'm not sure on 22 v 24 but there's definitely room left over so if I was ordering a strap from new, I'd probably buy at 24 to try it.

Bought off Amazon yes, hope that all helps.

I think that band is actually behind the watch itself. The OP could probably find a way to cut a hole in the band to allow the back of the watch to "see" their arm.

It is a band from Amazon. It is the 22mm version, but I just ordered a 24mm version. After looking at it, and measuring, I'm sure the 24 mm will fit, if anything I might have to pinch in the links ever so slightly (I actually spread them a bit on the 22 mm) Here is a link to both:

22 mm

24 mm

Thank you!

You really think this isn't nice looking?

Personally I like it WAY better than the Milanese loop, I hate that one side has a double layer, and the other side is single. Looks like a mistake.

Where did you order the band from? It looks great.
Is it 22mm or 24mm? I see some on eBay but I'm not sure what size would be better.

I ordered an adapter from a guy on eBay based in NY. It should arrive tomorrow. I'm going to go the local jewelry store and if it looks nice I will cancel my link band order. 16 bucks for the adapter and I'm willing to spend up to 100 bucks on a nice link band. I think 116 bucks is a fair price. I plan to get a better adapter once they are out and available. I will post pics - I'm hoping USPS doesn't let me down on the adapter.

Cheers,
B

Is it seller from Utica? I ordered from them. After 5 days of no movement I messaged and he said there were logistics issues. 2 more days I messaged again asking to cancel. Within an hour my PayPal was refunded. If it's the same seller, I hope you have better luck.

It was the seller in Utica but I have a notice from USPS that it's left the Post office there and is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. There were a couple of days with no movement - I ordered on May 12th and it finally shipped on the 14th. I will let you know tomorrow if it's worth it - fingers crossed I hope it arrives tomorrow as scheduled.

Glad you had better luck than I did! Maybe they got it all sorted out by the time you ordered. I just got impatient I guess and wanted the adapter by a specific day.

I completely understand - I was really hoping I would have it by this weekend. I was getting worried too and was going to give it to the end of the week to ship out - my estimated delivery date was the 19th when I ordered.

We ordered two from the eBay seller in Utica, NY on Tuesday AM. They arrived on Saturday.

Everyone who's going to jewellery stores to have links removed, etc. - are they not begrudging working on bands/watches they've not sold?

I used a paperclip and some pliers to adjust my link bracelet.

Since then I've ordered one of these, pretty handy for £3

I love those watch kits...I've taken many links out with them and the sets are so cheap!

Can I ask a few questions:

1) Do ANY 3rd party bands connect directly to Watch in the same way the Apple band do, or do they all use adapters of some sort?

2) Does using adapter effectively make the strap connect to the Watch in the traditional way of using a pin, etc? One of my big reasons for getting a Watch was for use during soccer for fitness tracking, but I lost count of the number of times my old watches' straps used to ping off easily

Anyone know where I can get a red leather loop like the one in the photo but with the connectors matching the color of a space grey Apple watch? Found this loop on eBay but I'm afraid the connectors are gonna be visible and throw off a weird color mismatch

that "render" seems weird cuz it doesnt even show the connector being used

It's just the image from Apple's site colored red in photoshop. I don't even know how that style of band would work with those adapters.

Yes. There are some on Amazon. My Kollea black leather band arrived today. No adapter needed.

Kollea black leather band pics

It arrived yesterday. Was straightforward putting together. Only issue I encountered was the buckle side would slide completely through a couple times before it would latch. Checked it several times to make sure it was secure. The longer band had no issues.

The quality of the leather is as good as can be expected for $30. It's comfortable and there's enough holes, even for my fairly small wrist. Another loop would have been nice, but overall, I'm pleased.

Can't post all pics together.
