What you guys think of this 3rd party black SS Link bracelet?

Nice. I like it. Though I admit I've been looking for a two toned link (black and dark gray). Where did you get that and the adapters.

Nice surprise getting a shipping email for my watch - coming Monday. Last second Amazon purchase for 42mm band adapters. Same day delivery so those are coming by 9pm tonight. I hope they work.

Until my Click SG adapters come in I decided to get an inexpensive Navy Blue leather band off eBay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/281686227778

and I needed to get to $35 for something else so I bought a rubber band from Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001DWKDU6?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01

I don't like the way the silver adapters look against the SG but they fit pretty well, albeit a bit tight. They click into place nicely. The leather band is thin and feels a bit plasticy but for $17 including the adapters I am satisfied I got what I paid for. My watch is 42MM.

We'll see how the Click adapters and bands work and move forward from there.

Here are a couple of pictures:

Love it! Your blaming me for Apple selling a black link bad at $450 that is more than I paid for the watch.

Since my main reason for buying was over a running watch and I use a lot for running and gym time, I took Apples advise and bought the watch they recommend for that.

Dude, your not serious are you? Does Apple sell more iPhone cases, or do 3rd party companies? What sells better Apple iPad cases or 3rd party cases?

3rd party bands will, eventually way out sell Apple bands. Like iPhone and iPad cases it won't even be close. Apple will still sell plenty. And good for them. I "like" my LL. but it's not that comfortable and embarrassingly over-priced. The band I took of my Michael Kors (Fossil) that is rubber is much more comfortable than either the Sport band or LL. and much better looking than the Sport. The Sport band stays in my gym bag and I use the LL for a bit dressier look. I have thought about returning it, but I'll keep this one.

*You're*

Now that that's taken care of. No I'm not serious.

But I seriously think that Apple will sell a decent amount of bands regardless of their price range. If you've previously worn high end stainless steel watches like Omega, Breitling, Rolex then a link band at $450 with the awesome functionality that the link band has is not overly pricey. Somehow I don't see Apple changing the "adapter"-connectors for the second generation so it won't be a waste of money.

But for "normal" people who don't normally lash out several hundreds of dollars for bands I can see third party straps being a more attractive alternative.

Not shipping until September. I think that should still count as pre-order.

Got two more bands in today. The one I really like is the silver mesh by Emisoon. While I'm still not crazy about the silver lug on the space grey watch, it doesn't bother me, and I'll get the grey lugs eventually. Meanwhile the band is gorgeous, adjustable, and feels really good.

Bonus, it came with a pretty pink box with velvet lining that I'll use when I travel.

I got some adapters on Amazon and they are ok but I don't like the gap with this band. I'm looking forward for my click adapters when they get made. The band is a Timex band that I also bought on Amazon. I really like the look of the band and it is very sleek but it is pretty skinny. I have small wrists and I barley pull it off. It's a bit small for my 42mm it might be better for the 38mm watch.
Overall I am really pleased. I think I might order a Casio calculator watch and try the band from that, I think it's a little wider weigh the same look.

I have learned that a 22mm - 24mm band is a better size band for the 42 mm adapter.
