Link please!

Here is the link for a custom strap and at $79.50, I think this is a steal. Didn't add the adapters from him. Sourced those on my own from Utica guy. Interestingly enough, this seller on Etsy is also from Utica. :)

He also has several other ready-made straps available in his shop.

The leather I chose was third from left. You can also select thread color and buckle type. I also asked him to make mine 3mm in thickness, with two keepers (one sewn and one floating) and he took care of that as well.

I would love a black leather band with dark purple stitching.

While this one isn't leather, if you aren't looking to spend much, and have a 42mm watch with adapter spring pin lugs (like freedomoclock's), I can point you to this seller on ebay that I've bought two of his AndroidUSA bands from. I bought a black leather one with purple stitching from him a few weeks ago. He currently has this one up that's kind of cool looking. I like the double purple stitching on it and the texture of the band. 9 inches long. What I like most about these bands are the quick pin release on them. They work really well too so taking on and off is pretty fast and no tools needed. They use a quality, sturdy pin mechanism that retracts well. The quality of the bands is pretty decent too given the price, in fact much better than some other seller's leather bands with quick pin release I've bought and returned. Here's the link. I think for casual wear they make a nice band.

It's definitely real leather, or at least the outer part is real. It smells and feels good. :) I'll keep ya'll updated.

One of the most important things IMO with bands on the classic watch adapter (tubular) is how good is the adapter and buttons and were the screws inserted with appropriate threadlocker.

The brown color band might be interesting for me so I'll be checking back with you. How is the seaming or sealing on the side?

Blue sharkskin strap I got from Panatime a while back. Looks pretty good on the Apple Watch I think. I just wish someone would make some 22mm adapters...

Can you post some more pics of this band, i also bought it from Utica guy but haven't received it yet. Not sure if the color is a dark gray is it black. Much appreciated.
It is the strap that is in the middle.
Left to right:
Apple sports band, Utica stainless steel band, Bandfever 2-tone polished/brushed stainless steel band. On the watch is a cheap milanese band from Utica guy, bought it for the adapters since it cost just as much. :x

I'm not sure I understand your question exactly. The adapters are some of the best ones I've received though. There is no wiggle and it has a nice tight solid connection. In fact, I asked the seller where he got his adapters from. I'll let you know if I hear back.

I just got this one yesterday from thestrapsmith. :)

thats exactly what i wanted to order (though havent got approval from wifey yet). Just wondering what is the thickness of that band ? (i have a very skinny wrist so the thinner the better). They dont show sideway photos of the band on their website.

Thanks in advance

If not stitched, sometimes band leather is doubled and glued I guess because of how thin the leather is; sometimes edges are painted and/or sealed. I just know they use different techniques to finish them off. I remember reading a post from someone who was saying the classic adapter area near where the tubes were inserted on their band was separating, so I always tend to think about that now, especially with classic style adapters being used.

Here's a page to a leather forum that might illustrate some of what I was referring to. Honestly I never thought much about how watch bands were made before now. I'm aware of the painting/sealing on my python band and on some of my thicker bands in particular. But I imagine even my thinner Apple classic black band must use something to finish the edges as cutting leather will expose fibers in it.

A bit off the topic of leather bands, here's a DIYers cutting, glueing, sealing of a nylon band he wanted to adapt. I think anyone who has a scratchy nylon band edge may find it interesting how he finishes it off. http://www.stefanv.com/watches/turn-a-nato-strap-into-a-two-piece-watch-strap.html

The band is actually quite thick but he can make them thinner or thicker by request.

I just started reading this thread, so I apologize if this was covered previously. Also it doesn't really have anything to do directly with the band, so if I'm on the wrong thread for this question/comment I apologize again.

I ordered a 5-Bead Stainless Steel Band from a seller on AliExpress on 08/04 for a really great price. It was delivered today (about a month earlier than advised delivery date) in an Amazon Prime box. It was not a reuse box/tape like you might get from an eBay seller. Until I opened it, I thought it as something I recently order from Amazon.

Is there some sort of connection between AliExpress & Amazon or do you think the seller (who may sell through both) just mixed up which site the band was purchased through?

I love the band, it's feels very solid, in fact heavier than I thought it would be & the butterfly closure snaps securely. I'm quite pleased with the whole purchase since it was the 1st item I purchased through AliExpress. I'm just curious to know did I really purchase it through Amazon China?

Some sellers do cross boxing so he probably has a seller account with Amazon. Oitmm on Amazon also sells through Aliexpress. I bought my 5Bead through his Amazon account but it didn't arrive in Amazon packaging but a random generic box.
So I believe that's what happened with you.
What's important is that you got a good band and hopefully you're happy with it.

Yes, very satisfied with entire experience. Was a little nervous since some had bad results & some had good. But then like everything you just have to give it a try.
