I just received this band (poor quality) I posted lots of info and few photos in the "non OEM band thread"
Been wearing this Strap lately and I'm really enjoying the classic look on the Apple Watch
I've got the same issue, I tried on a medium Blue Leather Loop at the Apple store and it fit, but just barely. My wrist is about 155mm, 165 is going to be a little too big. I really hate to pay the extra for the Apple band, but I'm starting to think if I want a leather loop that is going to be my only option.
Can you post some more pics of this band, i also bought it from Utica guy but haven't received it yet. Not sure if the color is a dark gray is it black. Much appreciated.
Sorry pal, I'm in the middle of moving this week but I'll try to if I get a chance. The color is like a dark grey with a matte finish. Depending on the lighting it can look from black to a lighter grey. The true color is darker than space grey but it works out and adds a nice contrast.

Jmona, if you are looking to add a band more like Apple's classic black band (with a traditional buckle), check out Lucrin's purple bands. The purple dye will look different on each of the leathers so you'll get a different choice in shade of purple. You can order a swatch before making a selection.

Okay. I think is time to use my charms so I can get that $255 purple one. I'm giving him something big next month so he'll have to budge this time around.

I see you went for the top leather choice.
I know it's probably more the the shade of the color you're looking for but the ostrich does have a nice look too. If I were really picky about the shade, I would definitely ask about swatches before buying a premium band especially as they make it available.
Personally I would rather have a few really nice quality bands than spend money on cheaper knockoffs. I have a few bands I bought for some variety that honestly now I think I would have been better off using the money to go towards a Lucrin band for example that would keep for a long time and enjoy the quality of with my nice SS watch. I believe the Lucrin bands follow Apples band width standards too, plus they've always come with apple adapters. The adapters come in space black too. And you can order the bands in various lengths, great for small or large wristed people.

That is lovely. Check out the combat straps website as well. I saw a purple strap in the gallery.
I checked Combat Straps before I posted the Lucrin one. They list the leathers or skins they use and also the colors. Didn't see purple as a color choice.
I saw one in the recent projects section, but you are right, don't see one listed in the materials page. If interested, maybe email Aaron. He's helped me pick out something.
