Ordered an 11"/8/256 a few hours after the keynote ended. Was informed via UPS at first that it would arrive next Tuesday, then it shifted to Monday, and a little while ago, UPS site said it would arrive today (Friday) before 10:30 AM!
Hard to believe, considering it started out from China (according to UPS) just a day ago and is passing through Louisville on the way here to So. California. I love it when expectations are exceeded!
Update: Dang! Just refreshed the UPS site and it now says "Scheduled connection missed" in Louisville and there is no longer an ETA listed. I hope it doesn't mean what I think it means....
Yeah, me too. Must be the same batch. Although mine also says "The package was left in a UPS facility. / Saturday Delivery". Does that mean Saturday delivery to my city (L.A.) or Saturday delivery to me? I can but hope

Arrived at 930 am. Now I'm sitting at work watching the clock tick until I get to go home and play with it
I ordered i7/8/512 just after stores were back online after the keynote. the status was on processing until this afternoon. now it says: cancelled, replaced by new product.
and there is a new order with the same specs above the cancelled one, still saying processing items...

Well it appears those whose Airs are coming via UPS are getting a faster turnaround time. My estimate was June 17 - 19 and it went from getting here on the 17th to the 18th with FedEx. I'm like a kid waiting for Xmas morning. Gahhhhhhh I have no patience.
Same for me. I called an apple rep. who said the system had not been changed early enough and I had ordered the old version of the MBA... I ordered after the keynote...

For the next iteration of Macbook Airs I hope that Apple is going to make one that can make a proper airline connection. How can I expect my machine to run a spreadsheet when it can't even run fast enough to make it's airline connection?

It probably was hanging out at an airport bar and was chatting up some pretty Android or something when it missed it's connection. Now it's just sloppy drunk and has to wait a while before it can get another flight.

This morning I had the same update. Sure hope that means Saturday delivery to me and not just to So. California, to be delivered to me on Monday. I thought UPS charges extra for Saturday delivery, and I checked regular shipping. Nice of Apple to spring for the extra delivery charge (assuming I get it on Saturday).
It does seem weird that it would have to fly over us and go all the way to Louisville, only to make a u-turn there and come back to the west coast. But I guess that's a transportation hub and it's easier to sort everything through one place.

Same here. I would really like it if they would offer the option of UPS or FedEx when checking out instead of it being random. I was so looking forward to Monday, but now the 5 of us are waiting until Tuesday.
Mine is still sitting at Louisville so I'm starting to think it's not going anywhere today and probably shipping to SoCal tomorrow (hence the "Saturday delivery") and then actually delivered to me on Monday after all. Hell, It was originally slated for delivery by Thurs 18th, so Monday is pretty good! (hasn't stopped me refreshing the UPS site every half hour!

Mine is "UPS Worldwide Express". I'm kicking myself for not doing the expedited shipping. I'm spending $1800 on a new computer and I didn't spend the $14 more to get it earlier. I didn't bother to look when I ordering, since I assumed it would probably be more than $50 and therefore not worth it.
Nice chap at the apple store applied student discount even though I havent got my student ID yet... this saved me 100 on the i7 maxed out 13 and 66 off of AppleCare... thanks Ian!
So this is my first post from the MBA. I previously had a powerbook g4, and it was stolen... been on mac pro only ever since. However, this is my school computer and I do enjoy chilling on the couch with the MBA more than sitting in front of the desktop.
As far as power goes, I've used Massive and Live so far and it appears to do about as well as the old 2008 MP, which is saying a lot for a ultrathin laptop. I'm thrilled and of course, eating sandwiches for the rest of the year thanks to this... lol

Ditto. It sat in Shanghai for what seemed like a good long time. I kept imagining my system waving others through ahead of itself... "Oh no after you... and you.... no, no problem...I'll just go to the end of the line..."
It has left Anchorage....and I'm pretty sure it's on flight FDX22 to Memphis (their main hub) based on the scan and departure time. I am hoping it can still make a Monday delivery, even though they rescheduled until Tuesday.
