When did you get your notification that it was preparing to ship (preparing, meaning that is switched from processing to preparing but not to shipped).
Also, did they ship with UPS or Fedex (are you in USA)?
I never got notice that it was preparing to ship. I was just obsessively checking the order status on the Apple website. It switched over from processing about a day ago.
It shipped via FedEx. I’m in the U.S.
Forgot to mention mine is also coming FedEx to the US. Figures because I signed up for UPS My Choice 🤣
I just received my shipping notice! Now waiting for FedEx to update the delivery date (Apple says by July 28).

I'm hoping I get fedex too... From what I'm seeing, UPS is snarled up in China and there are some bizarre issues going on.
FWIW, I was hit with a "mechanical delay" notice Tuesday, along with removing the estimated delivery window entirely. About 6 hours later, my Macbook Air (midnight 10/8/512) left China, and is now out for delivery in the US only one day later than my original UPS estimate. Apple is still showing July 26-August 2.
I got my 'large purchase approved' from Amex this morning, but still in the same 'processing' mode at Apple. Can't find anything at fedex or UPS... the wait continues.
Ugh yeah. Fortunately I’m hooking the MBA up to a hub that has sufficient ports.
Just delivered! Waiting for me at my sister’s house now. I’m so excited to finally get ahold of it - upgrading from a 2015 Macbook, which I still absolutely love… but it’s time.

I got lucky today and found a Midnight M2 Air 8gb 512gb in stock at an Apple Store. I had to travel for a work meeting and during the break I decided to check the Apple Store nearby and they actually had one in stock. I ordered it around 1pm and picked it up around 4pm. I cancelled my ordered Midnight 8gb 256gb, which had a late August delivery date, once I picked this one up. My current desktop is a Mac Mini from 2014 so I’m excited to make the jump to an M2 Air.

I just checked my area stores, they also have stock of both base models. Which is nice to see they have stock now, but none with bto specs. Which makes sense as they want those to go to preorders first. I just keep hoping they have what I want so I don't have to wait another two weeks lol.
