Well my Midnight MacBook Air, is being replaced after only having it since 26th July, Apple agreed for me to keep the current one until my replacement arrives which will be end of the month.
Issues with light bleed, which is off putting when viewing certain content.

Looks particularly bad in that first picture. Reminds me of my Macbook Pro, but it took a fall and a little bend in the top case to cause it.

It’s good that they are replacing it. Hopefully the replacement comes soon. I ordered a Midnight CTO last Friday and UPS says it will arrive on Wednesday. Apple originally quoted August 16-23.

Midnight 8/10/24GB RAM/1TB coming to Canada from Shanghai. Ordered July 21st with Apple stating August 16-23rd for estimated delivery. Shipped August 5th and UPS states delivery by August 10th. Currently still in Shanghai.

Ended up finding an Midnight M2 at the Apple Store and cancelled my order from July 26th as it was still stuck in processing. Tracking from China to the West Coast, USA would've been fun for science but I was already doing an unhealthy amount of refreshing and I'm glad it's over. Happy Hunting all

After much deliberating, I've placed an order. Naughty, because I'm moving soon and that will be costly!

But, there's a 0% finance off on Apple.com UK right now, so £69/mo for a laptop I've been wanting for so long is too good to miss (I don't do credit cards). That 0% offer ends 11th August by the way.

Ordered the 16gb, 512, in silver. Been wanting the silver for a long time too, having come from a space grey MBP.

Like I say, kind of bad of me to order this at a time when I'm moving but hopefully the £69/mo won't be too much of an impact! Definitely wouldn't have paid out £1700 cash though.

My package has had the same exact journey. Been quite bewildering to follow it. The long pause in ZhengZhou, then sudden movement and tracking delays and errors. I assumed the 3:45am arrival in Louisville should have been 3:45pm and this was somehow entered wrong.

Is yours showing as due for delivery today? Mine is, but strange not to see any further entries in the shipment log.

I am livid! UPS just came and I wasn’t home and apparently they require signature?! My MBA M2 that arrived via FedEx a few weeks ago didn’t require signature and they just left it on the porch. Now I have to wait another f*ing day. Ughhh

Yes, says delivery is scheduled for today, but no further updates. Let me know if yours delivers and I’ll do the same.

UPS still reporting due for delivery today, but the estimated time slot has already passed. Apple reporting due Wednesday, as they have from the start.

I've gotten screwed over so many times in the past due to this, so these days I always reroute delivery of anything requiring signatures to the local UPS or FedEx stores. It used to be free at UPS but now they charge $6. Still worth it, for something like a laptop IMO.

I wish I would have known it would have required the signature, and then I would have definitely done this.

I ordered 7/18: Midnight 16gb/512gb SSD.
Today was the delivery date after eagerly awaiting.
UPS tracking states delivered to “porch” at 213 pm today.

Unfortunately I don’t have a porch and the package is no where to be found. I don’t know why they didn’t require a signature. I’ve walked around the neighborhood but don’t see any packages around.

I am so annoyed

Yes mine too, a sudden burst of activity overnight and now it’s at the local office.

This episode has slightly dented my faith in UPS efficiency I must say, having had last Friday, then Monday, then finally today listed as delivery dates and these erratic scans making it hard to follow.

Apple sent it out quickly though - I only ordered on 24 July.

EDIT - delivery due by 12:45. It’s now an hour later. Why do UPS even bother giving these delivery estimates?

I love my 15 inch MacBook Pro. But yesterday, I helped my mom setup her new M2 MBA. And boy was I jealous. My MBP is only 3 years old and I spent so much money on it, but I think my next notebook will definitely be a MBA. Especially if they make a 15 inch version.

For nearly every high price or high in demand item I’ve ever ordered from Apple they have this in the shipment email.
