I'm jealous. Ordered 7/31 and had same initial delivery range. Mine is scheduled for the 12th.

Same here, finally made it this afternoon. I'm very pleased with it. I got Midnight 16GB/512GB. My compulsive hand cleanliness is standing me in good stead - I barely notice any fingerprints. Only disappointment to me so far is the loss of dedicated keyboard backlight adjustment keys. I'm coming from a 2020 Intel MBA and didn't realise before just how much I used them.
My Midnight 10C/24GB RAM/1TB SSD arrived today one day earlier than UPS originally stated. Ordered around July 20th, shipped from Shanghai on August 5th, in my hands today August 9th on the West Coast of Canada. Apple's original estimated delivery date was between August 16-23rd.
Starlight MBA M2 8/16/1tb got here this morning. Was scheduled for 8/12-8/19 so a nice little surprise 2 days early. Used Migration Assistant over WiFi to move the contents of my MBA M1 which is now going to my son who'll be needing it for his first day of college next week. It took just over an hour.
I had toyed with returning his and picking up a base M1 on eBay but then I remembered how much we're alike and just gave him the 1.5 month old one I'd spec'd out when this bout of upgraditis first hit. The original 2015 rMBP will be going to my elderly Dad who needs it more than Craigslist!

10/16/1tb starlight ordered 7/31 with 8/16-8/23 delivery date 😪 my card hasn’t even been charged yet. I want my new toy.
I bet you get charged and shipped over the weekend with a delivery end of next week
I have mine turned off 100% of the time and barely use the dedicated keyboard backlight. So this change won't bother me of course.
If you get BetterTouchTool, you can set up a trackpad shortcut for this. For example, you could make a click in the upper left corner lower the keyboard brightness and the upper right corner raise the brightness (I use those for screen brightness). I use quite a few trackpad shortcuts, and I love it.
My starlight is ready to pick up but I visited a store earlier in the week and loved the midnight … so I’ve ordered and will fail to collect the starlight
I ended up cancelling the order as I decided to go with the MacBook Pro 14" 16gb/1tb as the Apple store had it in stock. No regrets in cancelling the MBA order and I'm glad I stuck with the MBP 14" instead.Just ordered 10/24/1tb Space Gray today, with 8/29-9/5 delivery date.
I’ve noticed on this thread there is an assumption that Apple beats their shipping estimates. I ordered a midnight 10C/16GB RAM/1TB on July 8 at 8:03am EST (3 minutes after they went on sale), with the original arrival date of Aug 8-15. Today I got a notification that it was pushed back to Aug 30-Sep 7. I was pretty excited about the redesigned Air, but at this point I’m probably going to cancel.
That’s strange. I also ordered a config to order Midnight 10/10/24/1 about 3 minutes in after orders went live. My original expected date was August 9 (delivery to an Apple store). It arrived early on July 27. I wonder what the hold up is on yours that mine could be delivered a month before yours. Did you order the 67 W fast charger instead of the Dual USB-C default?
I'd say if you are near the apple store check that spec if that is available. I've seen that 10C/16/1 TB available for in store pick up when they have them in stock. I believe this is one of the stock model that Apple store will carry.
That is really unusual. Something must have happened. Ordered the same specs came two weeks early. July 8 1700 EST
I would check with Apple and see what's up. You may get something extra out of it for customer service recovery. Or just place another order and cancel the other pending how the delivery time frames look. Good luck!
Thanks for the ideas. I chatted with Apple and they said that the weather was the reason why my order was delayed another 15+ days. Yes, the weather.
That's crazy. Not sure I buy it but guess not much you can do. In what part of country are you located?
