Apple CSR exceeds expectations!!!
Yesterday I wrote: "Called Apple this morning (yesterday 10/26/2010) around 11:15 Eastern time and a very nice CSRep checked on the situation, straightened it out, and said he would call me tomorrow to insure everything was back on track."
The CSR followed up and EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS! So I'm at work this am and the Apple online store CSR (Mike) calls to explain how the credit card situation was straightened out. Says it may be a few days before the preauthorization to the wrong card clears. Then he says to apologize for Apple's screw up, he's sending me an 8GB iPod touch as a gift! WOW! Thanks SOOOOO much Apple. I've never had a PC company do anything like that. Kind of confirms that I've made the right decision coming back to Macs after all these years.
No change yet on the order status but the way the Apple rep handled this makes waiting for my new MABs a lot more palatable.
