Sure it is. That's why it hasn't moved in Cologne for almost 18 hours.

Guys, it's after 5:30 in Cologne, more than 18 hours after they arrived, and they're still sitting there.

If the status is: "In Transit - On Time" it is supposed to be where it is for this long, otherwise it would have been "delayed" already.

As far as my knowledge goes I can say that UPS hadn't had flights to UK for today, the only one I found where to New Jersey and Philadelphia.

What I forsee is that will be send off overnight/early morning. In theory it shouldn't take more the 4 hours overall for the flight and delivery.

Also I would like to point out that on the Apple website - at least for me - the delivery was estimated 29th Oct - 1 Nov, then changed to 28th Oct (subject to change) as soon it was shipped.

Sent Jobs an email complaining about our 18+ hours in Cologne, and the world tour that preceded it.

Pointed out that Americans got their MBAs yesterday.

Dude I'm also worried, I feel like I should be calling someone, but not sure who? Trying to get hold of an apple or ups rep might be difficult esp this evening.

I can see this situation extending through at least tomorrow morning, all the while we are without our airs. I will be calling UPS tomorrow morning certainly.

Hey Guys,

Have been following this tread from monday and want so say a'm in the same boat.

Mine is sitting in Cologne too, and i just called UPS and asked why its sitting there in relation to the delivery date of today.

Well he told me the delivery date in there system is still the 28e and not the 27e that i got this morning. So he assured me they will arrive tomorrow.
Yeah right, seeing it is believing it.

Couldn't reply sooner because i didn't have my login credentials for my ipad.

PS: I'm in the Netherlands, near Nijmegen for the dutchies here
And my machine 13.3 inch 1.86/4GB/128GB

Very exciting indeed, its quiet at my work this week so all i was doing was refreshing this tread, refreshing UPS and reading the other topics here.

For the people that care, my system was orderd on Thursdag last week in the evening local time (or in the morning your time ) and well it took the same scenery tour of the world as yours did

But yeah very exciting indeed. (Now give me my MBA please, please uncle UPS.)

The girl on the phone said that it somestimes takes a very long time for them to scan and show the tracking information especially if the package is on a truck or on a plane. I asked if it takes more than two days and she said it is very likely. I understand they can't provide up to the minute tracking information, but if its been more than 48 hours how can it still be sitting in the same city? She also said the scheduled delivery date is the 29th, which is the same thing UPS said when I called them yesterday.

Waiting for more than a week is definitely something I was not expecting. Sold my MBP quite sometime ago and have been glued to my iMac since.

I never quite understood the long time before scans excuse, especially if a package is scanned as arriving at a facility, then I would not expect it to leave without being scanned once again. Fair enough once it's departed and scanned/tracked to confirm this, then yes there will be a long time before next scan.

Either way, they are all ****ing amateur and want to consider getting new lines of work!

Yay another status update. Ordered the 23rd early morning and it's in AK. I've got an estimated delivery of the 29th by Fedex and Nov 1st from apple. Could I be receiving it tomorrow? I hope so!

I am 95% confident that I'll get the MBA delivered tomorrow. The initial estimate was 28-29th so I'm not sure why people are complaining, it's not like they're late.

That's what mine is sitting at now. Initial delivery estimate was 2nd - 3rd November, then when it was actually assigned a tracking number it was changed to the 1st of November and then it was changed to the 28th - I'm excited!

If it's sitting in Germany then I would have expected it to arrive tomorrow tbh - I've ordered stuff from UPS before and quite often it gets shipped from another country overnight and is on the van the next morning.

I just called Apple for the 3rd time and this time asked for a manager. I ordered my fully loaded 13 MBA on the 22nd and then added expedited shipping on Sunday. It appears that the CSR charged me the $14 but never added the expedited shipping to the actual order. So, long story short, Apple is MISSING the original shipping range (Oct 26-Nov 1) by a day as FedEx now says the ETA is Nov 2. I'm really angry about this as needed this unit no later than Nov 1 for some business travel. I'm calling around the area stores but I get a "we don't stock this unit message." What to do?? The manager is supposed to be watching my tracking but now that it is sitting in China on a pallet there is nothing to do. I'm really close to canceling and then reordering after this trip however, I have a buyer for my MBA 2nd Gen and don't want to lose that opportunity.

This is the first time I can say I'm an UNHAPPY Apple customer!

Good luck with that. Once your status says "prepared for shipment", you CANNOT cancel. You will have to return the computer in this case.
