That is indeed a very good return. I got $810 for my MacBook Pro 2.4GHz Santa Rosa 2007-model 15" with 4GB RAM/160GB HD. Came complete with the original box, discs, documentation and everything in excellent condition. I sold it 2 weeks ago on eBay. Purchased a 11.6" 1.6GHz/4GB/128GB MacBook Air from Apple Store online on 10/23 and it's sitting at the FedEx facility in Shanghai right now. Delivery estimate is November 1st by 10:30am.

My BTO 13" with 4 GB came to Florida from Shanghai, China 2 days earlier than estimated. Stoked with it but so busy I hardly have used it yet.

Moodikar, What's the hold up in Port Hope? Is it customs? I suspect that I won't be getting it tomorrow, and if I do, I'm going to buy a lottery ticket!

I think further to you and CC2k4, jwei is from Toronto as well. Has ANY shipped to Ontario yet?

I sold my MacBook Core Duo 2GHZ Black, 2GB Ram, 80GB HDD for $630 a few weeks back going on the hunch that Apple was going to release new macs. I'm glad I did. Now the happy owner of a 11" base MBA. :) I was surprised how much my laptop still fetched. I wouldn't expect a PC to have gotten that value after 4.5 years.

I had pm'd jwei earlier today, he said he lives in Hamilton so he was able to pick his up directly from the warehouse. I guess that means the Mount Hope we thought was north of Toronto, is actually in Hamilton. I googled it and it is right by the Hamilton airport.

He also said that to his understanding, that port is the main one for Ontario. So we should see ours deliver to tmrw. Thats what my UPS estimated delivery was anyway.

My 11.6 1.6GHz/128GB SSD/4GB RAM FINALY turned up today, exactly a week after I ordered it.

Taking a bit of getting used too, but proving to be at least a match fro my old 2Ghz BlackBook...

Wow thanks cc2k4. That is a relief knowing that port hope is not 3hrs away!!!

Not only did it not make sense, it was insulting if that was the case.

I feel wasted after trying to understand them!!!

Mine is also stuck in China since the 27th. I was told that a load of packages (120 of them) were delivered to the terminal 15 minutes after the plane left. However, it is already the 29th in China and my computer is still there. What time does the daily FedEx flight leave China?

Where did you hear that?

cc2k4, thanks for the update! Since mine just left Louisville this afternoon, I'll likely have to wait until Monday, but please let us know when you get yours delivered. It'll give me hope that it'll come on Monday, and not Tuesday (Apple's delivery range for my order was Oct 27 - Nov 2).

I ordered my 11-inch 1.6GHz, 4GB, 128GB last week but it seemed to get delayed? They didn't process my order till Monday morning. It shipped this morning, but it seems to have gotten quite far already!

The tracking says it'll be delivered before Nov 4th (next Thursday) but judging by the tracking info, I think it'll be with me on Monday! (in the UK)

Can't wait! Only thing I'll be miffed about is the lack of backlit keyboard :(

Moodikar, thanks for the HOPE! All I can say is I'm glad my business travel got bumped by a week; I was originally going to travel on Sunday, and I was really banking on getting the MBA in time. Now, it's less of a rush but I still can't wait to get the MBA in my hands.
I'm definitely looking forward to not having to lug my MB (which I still find relatively "heavy") or my netbook (which is lighter but is making me go blind...)!

Just called TNT (shipping company) and the delivery date has been pushed back until the 03/11/10.

Australians customs have it and apparently want to play with it for 5 days.

5 days! That means so called express shipping will take 12 days from China to Australia!

Again, ordered Sunday, and stuck in China right now with no updates. Getting shipped to Midwest US. I saw two main airports in Shanghai and saw that this flight, scheduled for around 8:40PM (about 3 hours from now) Central Std Time. I wonder if they'll be on here...

http://flightaware.com/live/flight/FDX28

But I didn't see any earlier flights either. (And the news that we just heard about boxes being late doesn't fit the time frame) so who knows.. Unless I picked the wrong Shanghai airport.

But also, it could potentially be on FDX93?? All of this confuses me!

Sigh...

Ordered a 11 inch 1.6/4gb/128gb thru a 3rd party reseller oct 20 with in an hour of the keynote and I was thinking it should get here today or tomorrow. So I phoned up the reseller and asked them to check the shipping status and let me know. The guy after checking told me that it still says shipping in 3-5 days. Still not shipped yet. WTF:mad::mad: I hate not being able to check my own order status. He's going to phone Apple and see what's up for me. Looks like late next week for me. :(

Grrrr, Apple's status page said it would be delivered tomorrow, but now it's sitting in Germany and UPS says it'll be Monday :(

Maybe it'll be delivered to the UPS depot tomorrow and I could go pick it up - it's not too far.

Mine has been updated to "in transit" but still shows it to be in Shanghai. Been there for 2 days now. Ordered 10/23 (Saturday) at 2:30pm PDT. Expected delivery November 1st (Monday by 10:30am). BTO, 2-3 day delivery, looks like it could take 9 days.

The Fedex tracking gets more than a little bit confused with the different timezones.

Fedex have two flights a day from Shanghai to Anchorage, FDX28 and FDX93.

FDX28 leaves at 08:46PM CST and gets into Anchorage at 12:05PM AKDT.
FDX28 then flies from Anchorage to Memphis.

FDX93 leaves at 05:20AM CST and gets into Anchorage at 08:41PM AKDT.

NOTE: CST == Chinese Standard Time which is UTC+8, AKDT is Alaska Daylight Time which is UTC -8.

There's only so much room on the planes and I'm sure they're loaded them in some sort of logical order, maybe even taking notice of Expedited Shipping.

Mine order has been stuck like other for the past 36 hours in Shanghai, don't fret it'll get here.
