Yeah like me. Sad thing is that some apple stores in Toronto have the maxed versions now. I'm so pizzed.

I'm still trying to figure out why my MBA is in Mount Hope, ON. It was in Kentucky, and then Buffalo just before. Why could it not stop in Toronto which is closer to Buffalo then Mount Hope is.

Still no carrier information on the MBA order page :(.

Does anyone have any estimate how long will it usually take for Apple to update those informations to the site?

I don't know if it has something to do with that I ordered Applecare for the MBA at the sametime. I think the AppleCare will be picked up from Holland when the MBA will arrive there, right?

Mine said that too. Should be in Alaska by nights end.

My concern is that there are usually "In Transit" scans between China and Alaska. The scan times shown are based on the time zone of the scan. Since China is 12 hours ahead, it's been over 32 hours from departure time without any In Transit scan, which is a bit strange. It doesn't take so long to fly from China to Alaska.

Inf, apple care is simply a registration into their database. They may give you a box with a cd with a health testing program on it but usually you'll get a letter later certifying that you have laptop covered.

It won't slow any shipments.

Yeah. Actually I already got the Applecare proof in email from Apple.

Can't stand the wait...

I received my 11.6 128gb drive, 4gb ram macbook air yesterday, a day earlier than the shipping estimate. I paid for expedited shipping. Mine shipped from Shanghai to Alaska and then to Indiana and then to me (another Midwest state other than Indiana).

The speed on this thing is amazingly fast, and it is so gorgeous. I love it.:D. I ordered on October 22.

Bernard6278 I'm with you. This is getting ridiculous and wonder why mount hope of all rural places. Let's build a warehouse in the middle of nowhere so drivers can have a hard time getting there just to drop off stuff that isn't even destined to be there. Let's go from point a to point d and then return to point b....

It said something unforeseen occurred caused the delay, I wonder if it took the wrong flight to a wrong place, maybe we will see it arrive in africa tonite..lol

Unforseen. They should say what that is. Probably the trucker fell asleep or he crashed or they didn't have enough staff or they forgot.

A reasonable explanation is fine but a vague 'unforseen' is like saying we goofed and can't tell ya why.

A few people, including myself, have posted earlier in the thread that we have the same exact tracking. Not sure what's going on.

That is exactly what mine says. I ordered mine Saturday afternoon at 2:30pm PDT and mine has been stuck in Shanghai for 2 days. I also ordered the 2-3 day delivery. They are saying November 1st for estimated delivery date, that is next Monday. So it will be 9 days from order to delivery. ARGH!

Biosci, depends where you live. USA seems the fastest to get. Canada is still waiting for Oct 20th orders. Europe just got theirs yesterday. So, it is looking to be 10 biz days average (give or take 2 days).

It can't tell you what Asia and Austrailia is like. They might be the slowest.

One guy had his parcels delivered and signed to the wrong place! He is mad! Even if they retrieve it apparently it goes back to apple for inspection! Imagine his situation!!!

Mine is in mount hope. Never doing this again. Never selling my computer and waiting like this typing on an iPhone!!

Yeah, I'm in the US (Near Chicago). It's been in China for awhile now sitting in Shanghai. I'm still going to hope it gets here by Monday!

Been on this thread since it started and it seems that it'll take 3 days to get out of china and usually ends up in Germany where it sits for 2-3 days. Then after that, it starts moving till it gets really close like Kentucky or Alaska (for those in the states). After that, it's a day or two to bring it home to your destination.

This is the trend but like me who's waiting since Oct 20, this isn't always the fastest example.

I posted a bit earlier, but forgot to add that expedited shipping is done through Fedex, not UPS and doesn't go through Germany. I went from Shanghai to Alaska to Indiana to my Midwest (not Indiana) destination. My package came via Fedex. Ordered Oct 22 received at 10 am EST on Oct 27. Just adding more data points for those that are trying to figure out patterns. :)

Yes Fedex seems better than ups so far! Ups seems to have more of a run around.

My first impression is that it's heavier than my Rev. B.

I know that isn't possible, but it does feel heavier.

It also feels more solid. Hard to quantify that, but it has a rigidity that the Rev. B didn't.

No loose hinge or creak.

Haven't fired it up yet.

Weird that we ordered around the same time last Saturday and you got your tracking number before I did, but mine has left china. :)

I did it!!!

Sold my computer that's in my signature down below for $825 today (great return!) and I went online and purchased the 11.6", 64GB SSD with the 4GB of ram.

I don't use my computer much anymore but word processing, IM, and surfing the web. I think will be a great computer to bring around with me and a little big brother for my iPad.

However, says 3-5 days to ship. Expected delivery November 3 - 9.
Hopefully it will be quicker than that! Living off my iPad for the next week.

:)
