Hey Sparkie great that yours arrived. Told you it would :D

As for Netdog, i have read somewhere that if the delivery guy falls behind he will continue to deliver the packages in his truck.

And in other news, the guys among you who wished me luck with my job interview paid off. Because i am hired at my new company. :)

So i'll have a better salary for even more :apple: products ;)

PS: 10 to 15 minutes remaining before i'll see my Air for the first time.

So expect pictures of it soon!

I received my 11.6 128gb drive, 4gb ram macbook air yesterday, a day earlier than the shipping estimate. I paid for expedited shipping. Mine shipped from Shanghai to Alaska and then to Indiana and then to me (another Midwest state other than Indiana).

The speed on this thing is amazingly fast, and it is so gorgeous. I love it.:D. I ordered on October 22.

Anyone else order over the weekend (Sunday) and it has been stuck in Shanghai for awhile now not moving... I was hoping to have it either Fri or Monday... But now it looks pretty bad even for Monday....

Biosci, depends where you live. USA seems the fastest to get. Canada is still waiting for Oct 20th orders. Europe just got theirs yesterday. So, it is looking to be 10 biz days average (give or take 2 days).

It can't tell you what Asia and Austrailia is like. They might be the slowest.

One guy had his parcels delivered and signed to the wrong place! He is mad! Even if they retrieve it apparently it goes back to apple for inspection! Imagine his situation!!!

Mine is in mount hope. Never doing this again. Never selling my computer and waiting like this typing on an iPhone!!

Just ordered a 13" Macbook Air from MacMall.

2.13GHz, 256GB SSD, 4GB ram model

I kept debating getting the 1.8Ghz CPU model, but in the end the possibility of having this laptop for 3 years like my current MBP made me opt for the higher specs. I figure if I ever want to have windows and OSX running together I need all the RAM I can get.

MacMall has it for $1749 with free overnight shipping. I called them to ask when they expect to have this particular model in stock and they said sometime around Nov 4th. Even if I ordered the same model from the apple store I would get it at the earliest around Nov 2nd (more likely around the 4th or 5th though) and I would also be paying $1900 for the same exact machine (tax is a bitch).

I ordered Sunday night (6EST) and it left Shanghai yesterday and arrived in Anchorage late last night. I expect it to leave Anchorage later this evening.

Anyone understand what this means? Has Apple really shipped this thing?

Oct 27, 2010 5:19 AM Shipment information sent to FedEx
Oct 27, 2010 6:10 PM Left FedEx origin facility SHANGHAI CN
Oct 27, 2010 5:59 PM Picked up SHANGHAI CN
Package received after FedEx cutoff

I've lost patience as the days are slipping by and this was supposed to be here Nov 1 but FedEx is estimating Nov 2. It could have been here earlier if it was out of China!

My tracking shows the same thing. I've ordered plenty of Apple products that ship from China before, and there would usually be more scans by now. Not sure what's going on.

Bernard6278 I'm with you. This is getting ridiculous and wonder why mount hope of all rural places. Let's build a warehouse in the middle of nowhere so drivers can have a hard time getting there just to drop off stuff that isn't even destined to be there. Let's go from point a to point d and then return to point b....

total newbie here; I just want to thank you for this thread. It's comforting to know that I'm not the only one waiting for my MBA. I ordered on Oct 22, and finally received shipment notice on Oct 26. Now, it's sat for over a day in Louisville, KY.

I know others have indicated that UPS does not always update their tracking information...There was a time when the UPS tracking said to expect delivery Oct 29 (tomorrow) but that information has now disappeared from the screen. And Apple's delivery range is Oct 27 - Nov 2, since I did not pay for expedited delivery.

Anyway, just glad to know that there are some who are already enjoying their new MBAs, and that there are others (including from Toronto) who are waiting anxiously!
