There must be something wrong with the internet. I've checked my order at least 8 times today and nothing has changed.

I also fear my behaviors have started to become irrational.

A look at the spreadsheet seems to confirm that Apple is not filling orders in the order they were logged. That kind of sucks for those that rushed in when the store opened.

I called Apple to ask about this. The response I got was that orders are filled based on when they were placed. I pointed out the spreadsheet and they basically said that people weren't listing the details correctly or were putting the wrong timezone.

It ended up with a circular argument that went no where. I ended the phone call more frustrated then when I called.

I get the feeling that if I don't stop refreshing my status it will update to ..

Just checked my CC - pending charge for AppleCare. Hoping this means mine ships soon. Ordered at around 4:00am PST on the 19th.

The day came and its today !!! Preparing for shipment ! Just now.
8c/32GB/1TB/D700. Educational order placed as soon as the site went up.

Congrats.

I just studied the spreadsheet - are you sure the Mac Pro plant is in Texas - lots of nMp's going to Colorado.

(Just kidding - enjoy)

They are full of crap. If they claim that they are filling these in order then either the person on the line does not know, or they are flat out lying.

I've got two open orders -- one with an 8 core and a 6 core, and then a second one with a 4 core. (There was a two machines per order limit according to Apple Business Services)

I just noticed that the order with the 4 core config has changed from "January" to "February" on the order status page. Must have happened within the past few days, I'm certain it said January until just recently. Judging from the Spreadsheet it was right on the cusp between "January" and "February" looking at everyone else's orders.

Regretting now that I bumped the ram up to 16GB, it's an otherwise stock config and probably would have shipped by now if I'd just left well enough alone. :) It's not for me, personally, though so I'm not too torn up about it.

My order just moved to 'Preparing for Shipment'. Seems like the right time based on all other orders - not sure if it matters but I'm in Canada.

Have a bunch or prep work to do now! Feels like Christmas in January!

What jumps out to me from the spreadsheet is that people who placed their order through a business rep or the education portal get preferential treatment.

PP can you clarify if you ordered at 4:33 am EST or PST on the 19th. I am close to you geographically (ps I ordered at 4:45 EST (1:45 PST).

Pretty sure this has nothing to do with getting mine faster and only to do with "Apple now has your order," but I have now also received an email from B&H stating "The following item(s) will be shipped directly to you by the manufacturer/distributor."

I'm only reading this as "It's in Apple's hands now man"

My card just got charged but still no status update on the Apple Store status page.

BTO 12-core order in the UK (ordered on launch day).

I can understand businesses getting priority ... but should educational get it ? I mean come on, they are already getting a good discount.

Now that it's the end of the day on Wednesday reality has set in that if by some fluke the planets line up and I move from processing to preparing to ship in the wee hours of the night there's less than 1% chance I'll receive mine before Monday :-( I'm sure Monday will come and go though and I'll still be stuck on processing

My stock 6-core D500 ordered late Tuesday night from MacMall has shipped...arriving Thursday.

Both MacMall and Chase called me to confirm the order / fraud prevent--not too surprising as I don't drop that kind of money on tech very often.

For what it's worth, the MacMall credit guy then said that Apple has dropped the 2 per customer limit on the MacPro...maybe production is ramping up?
