Holding out hope mine will be delivered earlier than stated then now....

What was the time between 'Processing Items' and Preparing for Shipment/dispatch with your model?

Mine sat in Processing for days, and then advanced in a matter of hours to "shipped!" I never even saw "preparing" even though I checked fairly often.

Sounds like pretty much my experience with previous iDevices then.

Hope Apple put the store back up so I can have a look and see where it's at...

I ordered a BTO 6-core, 1TB, 12GB, D300 yesterday morning (June 17th) and it's already been shipped to the store for pickup this Friday. I was quoted July 7th

Incredible. Today it was still on Processing Items (ordered on Saturday), so 4 days.

Then it went to preparing for dispatch this evening around 8, and finally dispatched around 10PM.

Estimated delivery was 25th at 8PM, now adjusted to the 24th. Should get a definite delivery date on Saturday or Monday I think once it's in the safe hands of UPS.

This was better than the original estimate (27th-4th), and I was thinking I'd have to wait until Monday before I'd hear anything.

Very very pleased it's going ahead of the original schedule, just need the time off work now for the bulk of next week so I can play with it all week long.

Can't wait.

What a tease! The receiving person at my office came in and said "You've got some Apple goodies!" and handed me a box. Inside was my keyboard, trackpad, and dual link DVI adapter! :(

My 6C D500 1TB 32GB nMP is still "Preparing for Shipment" but I'm hopeful that it will arrive next week. I think that the holdup on these orders is actually the internal storage upgrades.

Shipping is done by UPS but it's had an "Exception".

Shipping to the UK so I'm wondering if Customs is the holdup.

This is my status currently:

How long will it take for it to clear?

Looks like you're right, I'm able to track the flight as well now. It's departed apparently.

They should do pickups at airports.

GAH!

I woke up this morning to a notification that my Pro has shipped with an ETA of Monday. Yay!

I just tracked the shipment and found out that it was delivered to my office. Yesterday. I've never been upset about being on vacation at the beach but now I am! NOOOOO!

At least I can swing by my office on Sunday and pick it up when I get back into town. :D

Anyone from SEAsia order a nMP?
6c/D500/1tb/16gb
Ordered June 7th
Credit card was charged June 13th. Apple said its "on hold", but my credit card company says it will appear on my statement end of month.
Still processing as of today.

I fear shipping to SEA is still through Apple Singapore as agent. Meaning, have to wait for Apple Singapore to get a whole batch before they send it to Thailand. When I ordered the MBPr when they first came out, waited 2 weeks more than everyone else.

guys i found a mac pro 3,1 for 1327.50 .. good deal or pass ?

Depends on the specs. I got a 3,1 w/ 4GB RAM and a 5770 from a used Mac store for $1100 last year. Those machines have dropped $200 or so at least, and you can find cheaper on eBay.

Spoke to soon. nMP shipped this morning and point of origination for UPS shipping was Singapore. Maybe they built it last week when they charged my card and then sent it to singapore?

Ehhh.... I went and checked Macofalltrades and for a similar price you get a 2009 Mac. http://www.macofalltrades.com/Mac-Pro-2x-2-26GHz-QC-Xeon-Early-2009-p/mp-226-8c-e09a.htm

2008 Mac Pros are going for $700-900. So I'd say unless you're getting it for $1000 it's not worth it.

Just ordered my nMP (6 core, D700s, 1TB SSD) and 64GB of RAM from Crucial! So excited!

Anyone have any idea how long it takes for BTOs to arrive in the UK?

I nearly walked out of Micro Center with a new one this week but managed to make it out unscathed.

Mostly posting to let folks know that some Micro Center locations have the nMP base configs discounted. In St. Louis, the base quad and hex were in stock and $200-300 off MSRP.

Feel a bit sick and a bit sad saying goodbye to my Mac Pro 2006 which I bought with the invoices from my first big customer way back then but gone ahead and pulled the trigger on the below to finally replace it:

Nice, exact same spec as me! I got Apple's student discount though, which actually made quite a bit of difference.

Heheh, yeah been a few years since I was a student, be nice to have that discount!

It's clearly a heckuva spec and a pretty expensive purchase even with the student discount, curious what made you want a nMP over the iMac in your sig?

Yeah I was actually really impressed with the amount I got off :)

In the last few years I've gotten into a fair bit of software development and some photo/video editing and the iMac is getting a little sluggish, especially as it doesn't have USB3/Thunderbolt connectivity for external drives. Plus it'll be quite a bit easier to take back and forth to university, along with a small monitor (I'll probably get a TB display for home and sell the iMac).

On a related note, my nMP is now "Preparing for Dispatch" after only ordering it on Thursday so hopefully I'll get it soon.
