Long time reader, first time poster.

Well I pulled the trigger on my first mac...have been waiting 4 months for this refresh with my dell xps13 dangling by a string (never again):

• 2.3GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7
• 8GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB
• 512GB Solid State Drive
• AMD Radeon HD 6750M with 1GB GDDR5
• MacBook Pro 15-inch Hi-Res Antiglare Widescreen Display
• Apple care
• Free ipod :)

Hopefully it lasts me 3-4 years unlike this xps which has died every year!
 
I officially have my tracking number as of 1:25 AM EST. FedEx's website shows delivery date as Tuesday by 10:30AM. I'm already off from work so this will be an awesome day.
 
ordered mine 24 hours ago and it still says "prepared for shipping", anyone else got theirs shipped? or is it still prepared?
 
I'm going from a first Gen MacBook Air to a JUST ORDERED MBP 15 base config with the 7200 speed hard disk and the hi rez glossy screen. Plus got my educational discount (i pay for most of my son's college). I'm very happy.

I hadn't realized how bad the MBA was at multimedia stuff until I got an ipad. The MBA is great at what its supposed to be and do.

Of course, I like a of others, tried to ask it to do more than it was capable of. Time for it to go.

I ordered mine around 3pm yesterday along with a 27" monitor with 2 day shipping. The monitor is scheduled to be delivered on Monday, but the MBP (15") is not yet shipped. I'm sure it will be sometime next week.;)

Apple says:
Ships: 1 - 3 business days
Delivers: Feb 28 - Mar 4
 
My 13" i7 will be shipped to boyfriend in the US 28th-3rd but then he has to ship it to me here in the UK :/ . The wait is excruciating, especially since it's been a week since my '08 MBP bit the dust and I'm in the middle of a very busy term time...but FedEx is usually very good and gets things from pickup in Kentucky to doorstep in UK two days later, even with standard shipping. Forget USPS & Royal Mail--standard typically takes 1.5-2 WEEKS!
 
Yesterday I've ordered the low end 13" MBP in the German Applestore around 11:30 AM EST. Apple says "ships within 1-2 business days". Estimated delivery is 2nd to 7th March. But until now it's still "prepared for shipment". Anybody out there who already received a tracking no. (with shipping to Europe)?
 
Bought a 15" in person yesterday after the store clerks claimed that they did, in fact, have the high resolution glossy screen in stock. Made me pay before opening. Upon checking they were wrong, and it was the standard 1440x900. Returned, and had to wait until today for the money to come back into my account before ordering again. Very frustrating.

Anyway, I just ordered a 1680x1050 15", 2.2Ghz with 128GB SSD. Considering buying an optibay to add some extra storage. Was going to buy the 500GB 7200RPM, but couldn't pass up on such an affordable SSD option.

Very excited!
 
Ordered a base 15" with AG from the local apple store about 2 hours after the online store re-opened and opted for expedited shipping.

Estimated Delivery Time: Feb 28 - Mar 4

Has not shipped.

Same thing. Same status. I also opted for the 500GB 7200RPM hard drive.
 
I was able to return my recently purchased 13" 2010 MacBook Pro & exchange it for the 13" 2011 MacBook Pro. I'm a Premier Silver Reward Zone Member at Best Buy so they will take returns up to 45 days from the date of purchase. This is my first Apple laptop so I'm still trying to learn all the different features. I have been very impressed so far with how solid this thing feels. I have to say it feels faster & the video seems much smoother when I'm editing in iMovie. I think I'm an Apple Fan Boy for Life! :apple:

Delivers = 3 Business Days

Man this is painfully long .
the estimated date of delivery is 14th March

any chance that they ship the mbp faster than the estimated time? :confused:
 
Went into the Applestore yesterday and they didn't even have the new models on the shelf yet. I asked a couple of the store workers who were unaware that they even had any of the new models in stock. I asked them to have a look and sure enough out he came with a brand new 2011 13" Macbook Pro. I was the first person in bristol to own one and i'm loving it so far, this is my first Mac!

I ordered my 2.2ghz i7, 4gb ram, amd 6750 high rs glossy screen.

Going to order a 256 vertex 3 once they come out. And change it with the slow hdd
 
Hi, my name's John.. and I'm a Mac-Aholic.


Just ordered a 17" 2.2 - Stock configuration - to replace my late 2006 15" mbp. Looking forward to it.

Will be adding an OCZ Vertex 2 and upgrading the Ram to 8 gigs immediately upon laptop arrival. Will probably upgrade the vertex 2, to a 3 once it comes out then move the 2 to my 15".

I love Mac products. :apple::apple:

hey guys,

I just got my shipping notice and a tracking no. At the moment my MBP is in Shanghai waits for a flight to Germany :) Estimated delivery date is March 3rd.
