I've got two coming, one scheduled for delivery tomorrow and one on Friday. They are both available to be tracked using domestic couriers.

Good on you (as they say in the UK)! Apple stores in the US say that they expect them tomorrow, but online shipments to us just show a UPS"export scan" so far.I won't be home until Friday anyways, as on business in Texas. Please report your impressions.

After two years of using an 11" 2010 MBA as my main machine, yesterday I ordered a base 15" rMBP with the 16GB RAM upgrade. My MBA is still working great and could still work for me for a while, but lately I've been needing something with more graphical power.

I was waiting for the announcement for the 13" rMBP and was really hoping that it would have a discrete GPU as it is a great form factor, but oh well. The 13" rMBP also does seem a bit pricey considering the specs. After comparing the two in person at the store, the 15" isn't really that much heavier, and at least for me the CPU, GPU, and RAM in the 15" more than make up for the increased heft.

256GB is rather small, I bought mine with it and have already upgraded to the OEM 512GB SSD (bought it on Ebay)

Ordered my rMBP 13" within 2h of the online store reopening and right now, my package is in Ontario, CA. Due for delivery on Oct 30

How are some of you getting it earlier?

13" i7

Just grabbed a 13" i7. It has been a while since I owned a decent laptop. I had the 11" MBA a few years ago for about a month. Before that I had a Blackbook.

Can't wait to get back into OSX. Even though it looks like iOS these days.

Ordered a rMBP 15" 2.6GHz i7/16GB memory/256GB SSD on October 23rd. rMBP was shipped out on October 26th with FedEx. Estimated delivery date is on November 1st. Hopefully it'll get to Hawaii much faster. Currently in Alaska as of right now.

New to the forum, but I ordered my very first Mac on Monday. I've been a long time fan, but never had the funds or necessity for one until I started school this year.

Here's the details of my build. I went with the standard hdd because I plan on upgrading to the OCZ 256GB SSD down the road. I couldn't justify spending the extra money through Apple.

I didn't go with the rMBP because I wanted the ability to upgrade in the future as this laptop will be getting me through the next several years of college, and I do not want a computer with soldered components. I also wanted an anti-glare display which is not available, as you all know, on the rMBP.

2012 MacBook Pro 15"
Hi-res Anti-glare Display
2.6GHz Quad-core Intel i7
8GB RAM
750GB SATA 5400rpm hdd

It's currently in Memphis, TN with a scheduled delivery date of Tuesday the 30th, however, with Hurricane Sandy about to hit us, I have a bad feeling it is going to get pushed back a few days.:(

Was planning on ordering a 13" Rmbp but after seeing all the benefits of the 15" for an extra $300 i bought that. Tracking says it departed tennessee but wont be here for another 3 days.(Michigan) Hopefully its sooner

That's exactly what I did, except I got the HR-glossy screen because I love the jet-piano black edge. Also replaced the standard HDD with my own M4 256gb crucial M4 SSD and I might remove the ODD and put another HDD in there later when I need the room. Like you, I always lacked the funds to buy a Mac and received mine just this Thursday, and I'm loving every bit of it so far! I hope you get your Mac soon pal.

I recently ordered a refurb 13" MBP for $1019 for my girlfriend. I have an extra Crucial M4 256GB SSD that I'm going to install in place of the 500GB HDD, and I'm considering another 512GB SSD in place of the optical drive... but we like to burn mix CDs for each other, so if she wants the optical drive, I'll leave it in there. Otherwise, I'll see if she's ok with using Dropbox to send each other our soppy love mixes. :)

Great news! The plane that my mbp is on just flew through the storm and just landed in Manchester, NH a few minutes ago. I might actually end up getting it a day earlier than scheduled seeing as Manchester is only an hour away. SO CLOSE! :D:eek::apple:

Ordered custom RMBP on wednesday and it arrived today. Flawless with a samsung display, am i lucky to have gotten a samsung the first try?

All right. I finally ordered myself a 15" rMBP. "Just" the baseline version with 8gb RAM, but still a looooot of money.

I'd appreciate a pep talk or two. Please say that I'll be satisfied (it's my first mac btw, been a windows user for almost 20 years).

I'm in the same boat as you. I've been a Windows fan for years, but lately there hasn't been that many machines with windows that caters to my needs. I've used a lot of OS X though, and i know for a fact you will love it after a couple of days.
I bought a 2.6/16/512 machine, and i better be satisfied. :p I've tested 10-15 rMBP's and some suffer from lag, some don't. It's not that big of a prblem, as i'm sure it's software related as the machine has more than enough power to run that resolution. If there's something else wrong with my machine, I'll return it in a second and get a Asus U500VZ, which looks like a sweet machine. Oh well, fingers crossed! :D

What configuration did you order? I ordered one on Wednesday and it's currently in Memphis shipping via FedEx. Estimated delivery is November 1st, but I have a feeling I'll get it tomorrow. Really hope it's flawless and an extra plus if it's a Samsung display.

I ordered on Wednesday as well for ship to store. Haven't received notice that it's available for pick up, but it's not scheduled to be available until 11/2.

My order came extremely fast, it was estimated delivery 10/31 and arrived 2 days early. Mine came from memphis as well. Hopefully yours is a samsung too since its most likely from the same batch as mine.

I actually ordered on Tuesday, right after the Apple event. Was looking forward to ordering the 13-inch rMBP but the price was too close to a 15". I got a 2.6/16/256. Mines have been stuck in Memphis since Saturday night so hopefully it arrives in Hawaii by tonight. Really hoping for a delivery tomorrow.

Just ordered 2.3ghz retina. Delivery can take up to 4 weeks though. Hopefully will be very very quick. Haven't been this excited in a long time :D:D

I bought a retina macbook pro on ebay on Friday but it has not arrived.

UPS has it leaving New Jersey on Saturday before the hurricane hit. I hope its not floating in the Hudson River. It's scheduled to arrive in Houston Texas this coming Thursday.
