Just got my MBPr 15' today!

Just got the new MBPr in my signature! Love this machine.....the screen is amazing! I am impressed at how thin light and fast it is.

Got myself a base retina MacBook Pro from aus refurbished store. Saved myself 500 bucks. Delivery on Monday, can't wait.

Hello. I've had my eye on the refurb store for a few days now. Have not seen any retina models.

Am I missing something?

Edit: you must have got a 15"?

After almost 6 years with a pre-unibody MBP, I made a half plunge and got a used 15" rMBP- 2.3GHz, 256GB and the best part 16GB of RAM. The previous owner is an Apple Store manager and he decided to go with the 13".

The condition is near flawless- not even a tiniest imperfection. The only drawback I see is the 96 cycle count on the battery (still a long way to the 1000 charge cycle). Also, if I decided to, he would give me a good discount for AppleCare+.

Had I gone to the store- I don't think you can upgrade RAM on a refurb unit- I would've had to pay $800 over (including the 13% Sales Tax) and above what I paid for this used rMBP. Although I still wished the whole thing was cheaper, I'm quite happy with this purchase. The $800 is almost the cost of 4 battery replacement.

it's here!

3 am, I couldn't sleep so I'm typing on my new rMBP 15"! I actually ordered a 13" from the apple refurb store that will arrive on the 21st or 22nd, I plan to use both for a couple days to decide which I'd rather have.

Honestly if my husband loves the 13", I may "send it back" and give it to him for his birthday in May, IF I end up lucky with a faster model than I paid for as some people have been receiving. ;-)

Whoa. You ordered a 256GB 13-inch 2.5GHz i5 and got a 2.9GHZ i7? Where did it ship from? Mine is coming from LEWISBERRY, PA.

I'm returning my $1250 Best Buy open box 13-inch 128GB to upgrade to the $1360 Apple refurb 256GB.

Mine shipped from PA and I also received a 2.9 Ghz i7 vs the 2.5 Ghz i5 I ordered. Sweet deal everything is perfect so far. I have grown tired of all the TN panels on various laptops recently (including the air) and this retina display is just awesome!

Mine is still preparing for shipment. According to Refurb.me I just barely got my order in as there were only 4 units in the shipment on friday night ($1359 2.5Ghz i5 with 256GB SSD.) I am hoping the low stock means they will send me an upgraded model, but I'll be happy either way...just can't wait to get it.

I love my current MBA 11" but with the 16:9 display and lower resolution...I found I just end up using hooked up to my desktop monitor. Also I've only been getting around 3 hours battery...I'm hoping to get around 4.5-5 on the 13" with the same usage.

I ordered a 2.8GHz/768GB HDD 15" rMBP on the morning of the 13th - had been waiting for some sort of spec bump/price drop... After checking my order status 400 times :))), shipped to preparing for shipment on Friday the 15th, and scheduled to arrive (in NJ) on Wednesday, Feb. 20th.

Heartened by the rumors that the new line might be all Samsung, but we'll see...

I've just ordered the 13" MBP Core i7 :) I've decided not to go for the retina version as I want to upgrade the internals at some point... Looking at buying an SSD...

So anxious to receive mine. Hoping to win the refurb lottery: faster processor, more RAM, etc. Wednesday is almost here!

Well...just ordered a refurb 13" rMBP with the 2.9GHz i7, and 512GB SSD. It was too hard to pass up the extra storage space (a similarly spec'd current model would have cost the same with a 256GB SSD), and I from the info I've been able to find, there's not really much appreciable difference between the 2012 and 2013 rMBPs. The machine will be replacing a 2011 13" MBA, so either machine would have been a win. :) I'm excited!

rMBP 15in

I ordered the base 15in rMBP 2.3ghz 8gb ram 256 ssd a couple days ago and it finally came in the mail. To my surprise I won the refurb lottery and received an upgraded 16gb of ram with a Samsung display. :D

Took the plunge and bought one of these rMBP things

I've been working in iOS dev cycle for three years for a living. Tinker on Macs in Xcode all day, have a 15" uMBP i7 quad at work. Want to work on iOS projects offline from my job and am writing a book, hence staring at screens all day and need/wanted a really portable Mac.

So I'll see if this i7 2.9Ghz rMBP 13" is quick enough for dev work. If not, I'll just upgrade in the fall with a Haswell one. Very amped to be spending time staring at that screen though.

Recent orders

I just purchased rMBP 13 this morning and my order says processing. I'm pretty eager being that I've been with my MBA since 2009. Any recent orders out there?

Decided to return the 15" rMBPs that I got the past week and ordered 13" retina 3.0 / 512 with Ed discount today. Preparing for shipment.

Not gonna use all the power of the 15 and I'm used to the 13 size since I use a 13 Air at work.

I just received my baseline 15" Retina Pro a few hours ago. Wow is this thing a beast! :D

Maybe they have some already built and ready to go. I thought it wouldn't go to "preparing" until a few days since it says delivery 2/25 - 2/27 even with express shipping. I'm thinking now it will ship by tomorrow and have it by Friday.

Edit: Shipped 2/19 Delivery 2/21

Edit: On Fedex vehicle for delivery 2/20

Edit: Delivered...

Thanks[/QUOTE]

The only difference in these two is SSD space. One has 256gb and the other has 768 and 16gb Ram as compared to 8gb RAM.

If i were you i would choose the cheaper option. 256gb SSD is more than enough for a normal use. You are paying 1000 dollars more for some more space and 8gb RAM which is a waste in my opinion.

Just ordered a new rmbp 15". Initially ordered a classic MacBook Pro but cancelled after the recent retina mbp updates. Upgrading from a late 2008 mbp.
