just received my 13" rMBP 2.9 I7 8/512 refurb..can't tell the difference between a new one..absolutely pristine shape and I'm digging it. I currently have a late 2009 iMac 27"..debating on whether to sell it or just use it as a target display..will definitely wait for the thunderbolt display refresh before making a decision..so I'm in Mac heaven.

I am thinking of going that way, have a 09 imac too. Wasn't sure of the 13 or 15.

I finally got my first MacBook Pro. :D The 13-inch non-retina display. I've had this baby since Saturday.

I love to here a review of this model. I'm thinking of selling my macbook air and getting this same computer, can't afford the retina.

Proud owner to a Mid 2012 MBP 15" 2.3ghz i7, 4gb ram and 500gb HDD. Had it for exactly 1 months.

Recently upgraded the ram to 16gb (Crucial) and ordered an SSD today (Samsung 840 500gb).

So far, I am loving it! :D

I'd go 15" for the nvidia graphics if $1,800 is in your budget.

Thanks for the advice. I went with a 2.3 15 inch base model. My school IT store had them on sale for $1898. It was more than the 13 inch I was looking at and I'll lose some portability, but the performance more than makes up for it.

Got my first MBP 13 Mid 2012 a week ago.
Loving it cuz i used to have ASUS g53sw/heavy **** i ever bought/
Trying to upgrade 16GB ram and 500GB ssd

Just received my rMBP 15 i7 16 GB 256 today.
AND..
Got a SAMSUNG DISPLAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Putting Parallel on it and window 7 professional.
loving it.......

Ordered last night

I want it to arrive soooooon! But it claims "delivered 22/03/2013 - 27/03/2013"

Is it really going to take a month for my mbp to get here?

Just got a 15" RMBP with 8GB of RAM.

I AM COMPLETELY IMMERSED IN THIS SCREEN!!! IT IS CONTINUALLY TAKING ME BY SURPRISE.

It's importing all my iTunes files right now. It feels so sturdy, LIGHT, powerful and just beautifully crafted. Loving all the details i'm finding so far.

im getting the same model as yours but for $1600 but not sure if to let it go because its 8GB ram, is it fast?

Just picked up a 13" rMBP, 2.6 GHz.

Early impressions:
- Screen: Wow. It looks way better in person than it does in stores. I've been playing around with it for a few hours and the screen is still blowing me away.
- Biggest surprise: The sound is much, much better than on my 2011 13" MBP. I could actually see myself listening to music on this thing without needing headphones.

I'll update this post later with more first impressions.

I come from a 2010 MBP with 4GB of Ram. I can honestly say that 8GB is AMAZINGLY FAST. Already used over half of my hard drive just by transferring files from my external hard drive. This thing hasn't even broke a sweat.

I, at first, thought that 16GB was the only way to go..but 8GB is more than enough, it's too fast.

I bought a 15" RMBP 2.7 GHz i7, 16 GB, 768 GB SSD last week. Retiring my 2009 15" MBP. Wow! What a wonderful increase of speed in my workflow. Oh, and the screen is magnificent!

Just got my new rMBP, the keyboard backlight and the apple logo dont light up even when i turn off all lights and move into an absolutely dark room, will it be covered under warranty?

Just got my 13inch RMBP yesterday, and I was shocked that the speakers were almost half decent!

What can I say? This screen is incredible, boot and load times are nuts, coming from a hard drive to on board SSD is literally night and day, from switch on to log in is less than 8 seconds.

So I just went ahead and picked up the 13" rMBP. It's what I wanted to begin with and Apple discounted it. It's supper fast and I love it so far! :D:D The 1600 res is perfect for me. I am okay that it's scaled and taking a performance hit technically speaking because I am coming from a late 2010 model MBA. Now I am headed to techserv get a keyboard cover and a case.

15" rMBP 16/512.. on the delivery truck for tomorrow.. which happens to coincide with a scheduled 7-12 inch snow fall.. Hoping the UPS guy pulls through..

rMBP 13 i7 3.0 512GB

Went from a quad early 2011 MBP 17. Tried the 2.6 i5 256GB rMBP 13. Went to the 512. Much happier. The i7 runs as cool as the i5. Geekbench went up about 1000 with the i7.

Hi guys! Long time lurker, first time poster.

I've been toying with getting a Mac for the past couple years, RMBP really had me interested but I bought an HP Envy instead. USB controller is dying on the Envy, causing multiple BSOD's a day - that + the fact that the RMBP's have been discounted finally sold me.

Have a 13in, 256 GB SSD, 8 GB RAM on the way to me in Japan via MacMall. Sadly was told shipping may take 20-30 days, really hope it's not that long!

They've been discontinued? Since when?
