The "I just ordered / bought / got my new/refurb MBP" thread [Merged]

Ordered the 15" rMBP 2.3/512/16 on Tuesday 10/22 at 6:00pm. It shipped out yesterday morning but sat in China all day. It had an export scan a few hours ago and a departure scan about an hour ago out of Shanghai. My guess is that it's on this flight.

Ordered a 2.6GHz 15" 512 SSD on the 22nd, still waiting for a shipping confirmation but I expect it on Monday or Tuesday :D

My order is almost the same as yours. Processor upgrade is the only difference (13/2.6/16/512).

Still Procssesing for me too. Ordered 23/10 at about 16.00 GMT.


Hope they start moving soon :(

Mines the exact same time as yours. The export scan and the departure scan are the same. Bit mine says Monday instead of Friday. :(

Ordered my 15" rMBP 2.3GHz i7 with standard specs yesterday before lunch and was quoted a delivery date of 10/30. When I got home I was antsy and decided to call apple to see if I could switch to faster shipping, the rep informed me that she could not, but have me a free sleeve valued at $50!! On top of that I checked the shipping this morning and delivery is tomorrow!!!

I wouldn't be surprised if mine got pushed to Monday.

That flight stops over to refuel in Alaska and then moves on to Louisville where it will land between 1-2am, and then they'll get broken up and put on planes to their destination hubs which won't be possible until at least an hour after it lands.

I'm in a smaller town in Florida where it'll have to take a 2 hour truck ride even after landing too. I guess it could be a late day deliver, but I'm fully prepared for Monday.

they do saturday deliveries according to USP website :) so it might be before monday if friday does not happen.

Wow that's surprising because I live in California which is much closer to Alaska and it says Monday for me. Wonder why. Since it already departed China, it could get here by today evening and deliver by Friday. I think it's still possible but I don't know.

Since I'm never home when they deliver and don't want them to leave my $2500 new computer on my doorstep by pre-signing, I had it shipped to my office. If it doesn't come tomorrow I'll have to wait until Monday since no one is here to sign for it on Saturdays. Unless I hang out at the office on Saturday. Hmm... :)

Based on my experience in these kinds of threads with iPhone releases, everything shipping UPS from China goes through Louisville first where UPS has their main hub. From there it then goes to regional hubs. So, even though it would be nice for them to ship from Alaska to California, they probably won't do that.
 
I have faith it will be be delivered when they say it does..tomorrow :D usually USP does not show up to my house till around 5:00 pm though :(

i am in minnesota so it will be going from alaska to louisville to here i am assuming. must take longer to go to california meaning monday instead of friday.

Yeah, they used FedEx when I bought my 2008 MBP. Guess they switched to UPS. I do like UPS better though. Had worse experience with FedEx.
 
once it gets to anchorage how long does it normally take before it goes to louisville? i know it has to go through customs. its been awhile since i have ordered through fedex or UPS something that is coming from overseas.
 
Made purchase yesterday and estimated arrival is Monday :)

I did pay the $20 for expedited though. Hoping something happens and I get it before the weekend.

It had the departure scan from Shangai this morning.
 
I'm getting super anxious for it to arrive. Mines on flight over to anchorage AK! Then to Louisville then Chicago!! Eep I hope it's on schedual for the 25th.
 
Had my 13" delivered right to my workplace so I didn't have to sit at home and fret or worry about it being stolen from my front step. The guys in central stores took delivery for me and I just picked it up on the way home. It spent the first few hours of its life out of Apple's custody sitting among piles of chemicals, lab glassware and other assorted miscellany, but it was nice not to have to keep staring out of the window wistfully waiting for the big brown truck to show up.

This screen is outstanding, and I say that as someone who has a 2012 27" iMac. Much less real estate than I'm used to, but this will be my work machine for the lab office.

This is my first laptop since the Powerbook G4 - I've always had iMacs since then, so this is new to me. Love the magsafe connector. Probably going to buy an extra power supply to leave at the lab.
 
I ordered my 15" mbp yesterday and choose to pick up at store. It says it was shipped this morning and is available on 30th. (WTF, it takes that long?
 
i dont see how it is possible for me to get it tomorrow its just getting to anchorage today. maybe im just worried its gonna say delivers monday later.
 
I envy you guys!

Ordered my 15"/2GHz/16GB RAM/256GB SSD right after the keynote (actually before it was ended, the store was up a few minutes before the keynote ended), and it's not shipped yet :confused::eek: Still "processing".
 
Ordered around 8pm last night...middle 13 inch rMBP and got the shipping notice at midnight ET! Will be here by Tuesday from China but hopefully sooner. :)
