Ordered the 15" MBPr with 1tb flash and 2.8ghz ram 16gb memory.

Can't wait! should be here next week!

Anyone know of any issues with the SSD? Screen? Scrolling?

Just exchanged my rMBP 15" base model for a new one because the first one had an uneven track pad, a lid that didn't line up quite right with the bottom, and maybe a slightly pink hued screen. Honestly the screen wasn't an issue and looked fine after calibrating it but this new one seems to have a whiter screen as well as properly aligned lid and trackpad.

Went to my local Apple store to see if they had the model I ordered online in stock, and by golly, they did!

Cancelled my online order, and bought it in store! No longer have to wait 2 weeks! Now time to set up!

I ordered a mid-2012 15" cMBP (non-Retina) for just $1399.

Seemed like a steal to me. 2.6 i7 with 1680x1050 AR screen and 1GB 650M.

I'm going to drop in a couple 1TB SSDs in a RAID0 and 16GB RAM.

Couldn't wait for Broadwell anymore and this should be a nice upgrade from my late-2008 aluminum MacBook 5,1. I feel like I've come full circle going from the very first unibody to the last (within the generation).

Had to post here as my wife couldn't care less. :)

Ordered a 15" RMBP (2.2ghz one) which is due tomorrow.

My first MAC so very excited, I've had quite a few windows laptops (Various manufacturers) and so many issues... Hoping for this to be a more pain free experience.

Ordered my new rMBP 13" on Thursday at 2PM, it arrived Friday at 11AM. Now that's fast delivery! First ever Mac, also first ever laptop.

Loving it so far, it's an amazing device. It took me a while to realise that two finger scrolling works best when you separate the two fingers (I was using two fingers quite close together and it wasn't working well, thought the trackpad was buggered).

New 13" rMBP

I guess this is good for a first post. I finally replaced my 6 yr old Gateway laptop with a new 13" rMBP 8GB RAM, 128 GB. Hey, MS quit supporting XP, I had to update and I use Windows 8 at work and I don't like it. So, I have come over to Mac. I have come full circle now. The first computer I used was a Mac IIE in 1984. Since then, it has been basic/MS-DOS and windows. The only other Apple system was iOS with an iPhone 5 and my iPad2. Got my Macbook home this evening and within 15 minutes I had everything up and running including emails and my favorite desktop background. Easy Peasy. Love it so far.

BestBuy had it for $1234. I started to go with the Macbook Air, but I changed my mind and went with the Pro.

Ordered a 2.6 i5 rMBP 13" with 16GB and 256GB SSD from Apple.ca on Saturday. Estimated delivery date is the 3rd of Sept which I guess makes sense, though I was really hoping it would be here by Friday so I Could use it for a trip on the weekend. C'est la vie, I guess I have to put up with my Lenovo T440s for another few days ;)

China 08/26/2014 2:47 Order Processed: Ready for UPS

Seems like it's been hanging out in Shanghai forever though. Hopefully it's on the move behind the scenes.

One thing I was kind of annoyed at was that I wasn't able to order expedited delivery from Apple. I'd have gladly paid extra to have it here by the weekend. I've had camera equipment overnighted from Hong Kong before so I know it's possible to not get stuck in the delivery cycle for a week ;)

I have ordered a 13" rMBP with 16GB RAM and 256GB.

How long did yours stay in "processing"? I'm told that is the time it takes to "build' the laptop with additional RAM. Mine has been processing now for over a day.

I was hoping to get it by Saturday this week (I ordered Sunday night) as it says 1-3 business days, but the official delivery time they have given me is 8th-10th September, which is next week. I live in the UK though, so not sure if it's entirely analogous, but should be for just the China processing bit.

I just purchased a 15" rMBP, 2.5Ghz, 512gb SSD. I got it to replace my 2010 Mac Pro, I needed the portability.

Just got a used retina MacBook Pro 13

2.5ghz 8gb ram, 256gb ssd

Cost £680

Did I get a good deal?

Late 2013 model refurb seems to be £799 but that has a 2.4ghz CPU and only 4gb ram ( longer battery life but less performance? Despite newer CPU?)

I presume your used version is the 2012, non Haswell, Intel HD Graphics version?

To be honest with you, you'll most likely feel the HD graphics (which are rather poor, struggling to drive that incredible display) before you feel the lack of RAM. But it depends on you. Both are a good deal IMO.

Yeah the one I got is the late 2012 model.
I was a bit worried about the integrated graphics but it seems ok on the videos I've seen on YouTube .

My main use will be photo editing

Just ordered myself an (almost) fully loaded 15" rMBP.

2.8Ghz i7
16GB of RAM
GeForce 750M
512GB SSD

Didn't bother with the 1TB SSD since its a lot more money and I've never used more than 300-ish GB on my current laptop.

Been 3 years since I last used/owned a Mac. I'm excited to see whats new and to finally be rid of my heavy PC laptop. :D

Just ordered my MBP 2.8 Ghz top of the line processor with 256GB SSD.
Will be selling my mid 2010 MBP on craiglist or ebay.
Happiness.

Just purchased my first Mac this morning...13" MacBook Pro 2.6 i5/8gb/256gb. Setup was pretty easy, and so far I am loving it!

Some questions about the ship

I was reading the topic and I made some conclusions about the shipping.

So, this what I think how Apple Retail Store ships works:

1. If you buy a refurbished mac, it'll take at least 5 days;
2. If you buy a brand new one with NO UPGRADES, 2 days because it is already in USA, not in China;
3. If you buy a brand new one with upgrades, more than 7 days because it came from China.

Is that correct? The new ones with no upgrades are already in USA or they came from China too like the upgraded ones?

@.@ I'm so confused.

I just ordered a brand new retina 15" with hard drive upgrade, it's arriving today and I ordered last Saturday, so 6 days, if you're lucky! (I do live in the UK though).

Worth noting, when I ordered the new style iMacs, with pre-order, it was built and shipped from Ireland!

Yeah, right, but you're in the UK. I want to know about the U.S. shipping. I think there is a difference. At least, I hope. xD

Just got my new 15" 2.5GHz, 16GB RAM, 512GB Retina MacBook Pro.

Hold me, folks. ;___; It's so beautiful. And beautifully faster than my 2009 17". ;____;

Just got my 13"/2.5GHz i5/8GB/128GB SSD. I store most of my data on the desktop anyway so this is a perfect machine :p Plus I don't have to wait ;)
