Waiting for my non-TB 2017 MacBook Pro with 256/8. I hope the 8 gigs won’t be a problem for the next 5 years. I wanted the 16 gb but they had this massive discount for the 8 version. Getting it from the US with no taxes and no shipping fees so about 1000 euros. One hell of a bargain.

Just sitting waiting for the courier to deliver my 2017 13inch MBP nTB 2.3GHz 8gb 256gb refurb.
Had a iMac many years ago, but never had a Macbook before so looking forward to it!

Got it and loving it.
Spent the day setting it up and getting to grips with the trackpad gestures and Windows 'opposites' :)

Having no experience of older keyboards I can say I really like the keyboard and it's feels nicer to use than my Dell work laptop, but I guess it's all a matter of personal preference.

Tried some 4k Youtube vids and had no fan rev up / overheating so fingers crossed!

It's been about 3-4 years since I last had serious exposure to MacOS. It great to get back to it and see the improvements.

I guess I'll now be keeping an eye on the 27" iMac refurbs to replace my windows desktop ;)

Just got my MBP 15" 2017 i7/2.9/500gb/16gb for $2499 at BH when they had $300 off. It's awesome so far. Going from a Gaming PC to this as I don't have time to game any more, this works out great. Hooked it up to my Elgato TB3 dock and its running my Dell 34" Ultrawide curved monitor. Best setup for this!

just curious, are you able to connect your Dell 34" from usb-c to display port without the doc?

Thanks for any help/suggestions, considering the Dell, LG, Samsung, or the Alienware

I don't have a usb adapter to be able to do it that way though. The dock is my only way at the moment.

I'm looking hard at the 8/256 right now and have the same concern. At some point it'll become my secondary machine (whenever Tim drops the new MM on us...) so I'm not too worried. It'll only sputter with really heavy duty tasks. I'm typing on a 5,2 MBA now and the only reason I need to upgrade is that the SSD is in poor health and the 4GB it has just can't handle some of the more intensive tasks I do for work. Namely, running VMs.

So if an entry level 5,2 MBA can make it 5+ years before starting to sputter, I think the 8/256 nTB will be a great performer for the next 5 years at least.

Update on my Elgato TB3 dock setup. Seems its having trouble charging my laptop now. I noticed my laptop died yesterday and it wasn't getting a charge from the Elgato dock. I plugged in my Apple adapter and it started to charge fine then. The Elgato dock charges for a bit then stops. I am sending it back. I ordered a Caldigit TS3 dock. Hopefully that one works better. Both have 85watt power supplies and designed to charge the 15" MBP even under heavy load, but Elgato didn't.

Just Ordered a 2017 13" MBP with TB, 16RAM/512SSD & i7 3.5Ghz in SPACE GREY – a refurb @ $2,119.

I keep a Mac for 5-7 years and upgrading from current 2011 MBP 13" i5 2.3Ghz with 8RAM and 512GB traditional drive. Prior had 12" PowerBook, Quandra 660AV, MAC SE/30 & Mac +

Wanted a 2017 machine with 16RAM so this seemed like the best machine/price for some longevity? What do you think?

same, my 11MBP took a dump on me after 6 years of use, not bad for a laptop. I think she'll be plenty for ya

Great Pics! I too got that offer and have yet to receive it. (I have it in another location). Got it for $2499 same as you but i also could get the 3.1/512gb/16gb for $2650. I'm not quite sure if i regret not jumping at the $2650 config. It was $150 more.... if it was $100 i would do the 3.1ghz.... but ultimately i thought i would be happier ordering some goodies with that change.

I spent around $3000 total with my accessories and Care+ Was about to jump fence at the 3.1Ghz BTO.... but thought it was too much. Hope the 2.9 was good/better value at the $2500 price.

I will post pics of mines, i soon as i get it! It's the first thing i have bought using the first paycheck of my life :):)

2.9 to 3.1 I thought wasn't that enough of a performance difference to worry about. It is plenty fast for what I have used it for so far. Yep, AC+ here too. It was around $2900 something total.

I got my nTB 8/256, it is beautiful, I LOVE the keyboard but I'm coming from a 12 inch rMB so I knew exactly what to expect. The keyboard on is even better though as the travel difference is quite stark.

I knew there as a weight difference but it really does feel noticeably different compared to my light as a feather rMB. Ah well I'll get used to it!

Well after trying out numerous iterations of 13 v 15 v 2016 v 2017 v nTB v tb, I finally have my 15" 2016 512GB from BH. I love this thing. Despite a LOT of complaining on this forum about the keyboard and misc issues, I find this the best MBP I've ever had. Its fast, great screen quality. I appreciate the lighter weight and footprint and I actually prefer this keyboard to the 2015 iteration.

I have a new 13in MBP I just got for work and a 2011 15in MBP I use at home. The newer keyboard is louder than the old one which sometimes annoys me when it's quiet at work, but that surely wouldn't prevent me from buying one.

Just ordered a 15 inch, 2017 MacBook. Base model with the GPU upgraded to a 560.

I tried to hold out for the next refresh but my 13 inch 2011 started going haywire today. Hopefully it comes quickly!

Awesome! What color is it? Is it silver? Kinda looks like it might be from the picture.

Just received my 2016 MBP 16/250, space gray. This is my first mac book pro (apple) computer. Have been a Windows guy since the late 80's. Finding it pretty easy and fast to make the transition, and loving the computer.
