How do you like that MBP sleeve/case?
I've been liking it so far. Seems cushioned enough. Looks good, have received a compliment from my Mom. I'm female so i picked the lighter color.

What i wished is that the front pocket had another divider inside of it, but it's just one big pocket. It's a good sleeve.

Refurb 2017 15inch 1TB 3.1ghz and 560 video card, with 2 battery cycles. Replacing my late 2012 Mac mini which is now my home server.

This thing had 2 cycle counts on it, so it's essentially new..but got it from Apple refurb, so I consider it a steal. Also mistakenly ordered a 2016 model prior to this that I had to return on the last day when I realized it was a 2016 and not the 2017. This 3.1 2017 feels like a more substantial upgrade from my mini than the 2016 did.

Refurbished 13.3-inch MacBook Pro 3.5GHz i7 (2017), 16GB, 1TB SSD
"On vehicle for delivery"

replacing my 12-inch Macbook 1.3 m7 (2016), 8GB, 512GB SSD - which I have yet figured out what to do with now!

Ordered a refurbished 13" 2017 MacBook Pro 3.1GHz Inter Core i5 Dual Core 8GB Ram and 512GB SSD for $2598. Replaces my 2014 MacBook Air.

New MBP non touch bar user here. I am also new to this OS.

Bought a a brand new set with base configuration and 256gb. Didn't want to wait for the 2018 model as there is always a better one ahead.

A week ago, I did get a refurbished one from Apple for the same specs but I returned it as it had dent. So I went to authorized reseller store and got a brand with with added more $ Apple Care coverage. Hope all will goes well from here.

Am I reading this correctly? $2600 for 8GB of RAM and a 512GB hard drive and a dual core i5? That seems like an awful lot of money for not a lot of computer. Are you in the U.S.? I just looked on Apple's refurb website and found this:

Originally released June 2017
3.1GHz dual-core i5
Touch Bar with integrated Touch ID sensor
13.3-inch (diagonal) LED-backlit display with IPS technology; 2560-by-1600 native resolution at 227 pixels per inch
8GB of 2133MHz LPDDR3 onboard memory
512GB PCIe-based onboard SSD
720p FaceTime HD Camera
Intel Iris Plus Graphics 650

$1699

Bought a new 2016 15" MBP w/tb 2.7ghz i7/16gb/512gb/Radeon 455 for $1899 on B&HPhoto. Saw the deal a couple weeks and and was tempted to buy it. Finally caved.

Planning to use it for web development. I usually run a couple VM's for development so it'll be nice to have the storage/ram.

Last week I bought my business a new 2017 15" MBP w/tb 2.9ghz i7/16/512/Radeon 560 at the Apple Store in Lexington, KY. They took $200 off to price match Best Buy. I have it in clamshell mode in a dock connected to a 23" Acer monitor and a 25" 2K Dell ultrasharp monitor. I upgraded from a late 2013 MBP 15" dGPU.

Just got today my 2017 rMBP 15" space grey, i7 2.9 GHz, 16 Gb RAM, 512 Gb SSD, Radeon 560.
This is my first Mac ever, switching over from PCs after 30 years :)
So far so good. Currently installing everything I need. Already charging it for the second time today.
Looking out for a dock to connect to the 2 monitors in my office and all other devices.
This will be my main machine from now on: docked in the office and loose in the wild :)
I was already hooked in the ecosystem so it seamed like the natural move.

Well, after some issues with Illustrator CC 2017/2018 and High Sierra Apple allowed me to return my 2017 13". I picked up a 2017 15" 2.9/16/512/Radeon 560 4gb to replace it. Arrives tomorrow.

I think it's more powerful than my 2017 5k iMac.

Just ordered a refurb 2017 15in MBP with 3.1ghz processor and 1tb ssd. Wanted to hang around to see what would be launched in June but just had to part ways with my windows desktop so I needed something asap.

Edit: BTW, this is my first ever Apple computer. I've been a Windows user since the days of DOS prompt.

I just got a refurbished 2017 15" base model. Wish I could have waited it out a little bit longer to at least see what the 2018 models had to offer but I needed something right away for a new job. I was really considering going with the 15" Surface Book for the 2 in 1 factor but I ultimately chose to go with Apple for the 3 years of Apple Care, battery servicing and my preference for OSX. Also, both my 2011 MacBook and 2012 iMac still work perfectly to this day.

The only let down for me is that it didn't come with an extension cable and cleaning cloth like previous products. Not a big deal.

I ordered a refurb 15“ base model today.
Hope my new baby performs well.

The new model later this year will cost another 300-400€ to mine. I just don’t want to spend this much Money, so no need to wait for me.

Okay... I just ordered a new Macbook Pro from B&H. I was originally going to buy a Windows 2 in 1 and somehow along the way, it just kept adding up and adding up with options and bad battery life that I decided to just make the jump and get a Macbook Pro to compliment my existing iMac.

I could have saved more going with the 2016 model, but I'd rather have the better processor. Still saved me 150 bucks based on Best Buy pricing and over 200 with Apple.

I think I'll be a happy camper! Can't wait until it arrives.

Just bought a 13 inch 2017 MacBook pro with touch bar, i7 processor, 16gb of ram and 512 SSD for $2,200 from B and H. No tax to Washington, so I saved a good $650! Should arrive on the 27th. Super excited to be back with Mac. My PC fried a couple weeks back, so no comp for a while, just my phone. haha

So... my new MacBook Pro arrived today. It's gorgeous. <3. I am so pleased that I ordered Space Grey. My previous laptop was a 17" screen, but I really think 15.6 is the sweet spot. Now, to start installing the software I'll need.

Now, the only problem is that it makes me notice how slow my fusion drive on my late 2013 iMac is. The difference is definitely noticeable.

Bought a 2017 MBP 15" 2.8 GHz i7, 256 GB SSD, 8 GB RAM.
I had a 2014 MBA 13" 4/256 until 2 years ago, and a 2016 MB 8/256 (M3) until this week.

My reason to upgrade is that because of a new job (self employed) I had to make more presentations with lots of pictures/photos, open technical drawings, etc. Before, I only used mail and office programs, so the processor of the MB didn't bother me too much. But now, with the new job, the MB was a real problem in terms of productivity.

So I chose to upgrade to a (much) larger screen and (much) more processing power.

I do have to say, that the MBP 15 is great. The extra screen real estate and the processing power obviously make an enormous difference. But the fact that this machine is literally two times larger and heavier does have its drawbacks. I really loved the portability of the MB, which had a great screen as well.

I am glad with the new machine, even though I didn't wait until June/July. I got the machine for a nicely reduced price, so decided not to wait for the 2018 version.
