Upgrading from my late-2013 15" Retina to a new 13" MBP i7/16/512, and just ordered from Apple. Very excited! Although my shipping time currently is June 4-11th for USA.

Upgrading my late 2013 13" to a MBP i5/16/256GB. Ordered yesterday (15th), scheduled to be delivered June 2nd in Dubai. I am really curious to test the device, it's quite an understatement to say that it should be quite a performance boost coming from a 6,5 year old MBP.

Order changed from "processing" to "order placed". Anybody knows what this could be about?

Apple's order system appears to have crapped its pants currently. They've taken it down. Hopefully no real delays.

The link from the email just opens here... I really do hope there aren't any delays. Waiting till the 2nd of june is long enough already ;-)

The same happened to mine. Also, I ordered it as a BTO at the exact same time 2 of my friends did - same exact specs, 30 minutes after orders started. Theirs shipped yesterday already, mine was still "preparing to ship" this morning (until the Apple order system broke and now is back to "order placed"). No clue why of 3 identical orders 1 is delayed while the other 2 aren't.

Yep. System seems to be down. I'm waiting for a new 13" MBP, too.

So after the system went back up, my MacBook finally showed as shipped, and I got my TNT tracking number. Even though the 3 of us ordered the same machine at the exact same time (I was even 5 minutes early), mine is now booked with a delivery slot of May 22nd, while the others are getting it on the 19th. Let's see if anything changes.

After much consternation I decided to bite the bullet and ordered the 10th gen i5/16/512. I am upgrading from a 2016 12" MB base model so this should be quite the boost in performance.

I'm in NYC and delivery estimate is 5/28-6/4. Hopefully it comes sooner.

Got my 16" on Friday. Spent the day setting it up and adding the skin and I'm a happy camper. Hoping she lasts as long as my 2012.

I have a 15.4' 2012 rMBP and just pulled the trigger on a silver 16'in MBP, taking advantage of the discounts that is currently available.

My laptop still runs beautifully but feels slow since I started python programming for Data Science and building a website during lockdown.

i just upgraded from a 13" macbook pro 2016 (dual core) to a 16". I was originally going to go with a 13" (high end) but looking at the price, it seemed to be worth it to pay a bit more and get the 16" with better speakers, discrete graphics, etc. I am so happy with this upgrade - I had forgotten how much I hated the keyboard of the 13" lol....and looking forward to reduced compiling times with 8 cores and 32gb ram, wooo. Wasn't quite ready for how good the speakers sound.

I was going to wait until later this year or early 2021 to upgrade my late 2013 MBP 13", but the battery just died and instead of paying Apple $199+ to replace it (I know there is DIY kits but after viewing the videos, it's not for me), I decided to order the 2020 MBP 13" i5/16GB/512GB in Silver. It is backordered at Adorama, probably will not get it until 2 to 3 weeks from now at the earliest. Good thing I got the new iPad Pro 11" to keep me occupied for now.

I ordered this same skin, arriving today actually. Did you get the skin for the bottom or just the top? I couldn’t find recommendations, but was concerned for the times when the machine runs warm.

I got top and bottom as well as the trackpad. However, I decided against installing the skin on the trackpad as I felt I wouldn't like it as much. Both top and bottom were simple to install with the bottom being easier. I've used my MBP a few times since skinning it for doing some CPU intensive things and I haven't seen anything, temperature wise, that would concern me. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply! I've been wary of skins, but these seem to have good reviews. I ordered the entire kit, but got the trackpad in the Hyperblack Titanium in order to have a smoother trackpad experience. It all just arrived, but still waiting for the MBP itself. Not sure if I will apply the palmrest pieces, but I do love the look.
