Is it me but did it seem like apple's key note was that of a used car salesman. Saying everything they could come up with to stress how different the 5 is over the 4s, when it's clearly a stretched 4S with LTE. Almost like a snake oil salesmen. How thick it was was never an issue.

This is spot on.

Did anyone notice how much stumbling of words there were, either denotes lack of confidence or trickery or both.

I think we all just witnessed the beginning of the end.

Same format. Same keynote. Same video. Same lies.

Sigh... I deserve better treatment after having owned all five.

Tis life...

if all i do is browsing, fb, twitter and watching videos, i'll get the S3.

but i love to play games and discover polished apps in the apple's app store, so i'll stick with iPhone.

u can't even find a good RSS reader in android playstore. there is nothing polished in android apps. iOS has tweetbot, iPhoto and reeder, those are gems in appstore.

Google reader, Tweetcaster and Picsay pro are all just as good if not better than the apps you listed.

I agree. 100% not true. IOS keyboard and predictive text is an utter joke. To bad iOS users can never experience a keyboard like SwiftKey. Or Google Wallet. Or be able to use Microsoft Office. Or Download a torrent. Or get a street view in maps. Yes, there are plenty of Apps and examples of areas where Apple is lacking.

While the iPhone 5 doesn't interest me, I can't get behind the S3 either. TouchWiz just isn't for me.

Personally, I can't go with anything other than stock Android.

Now it's just up to Google and whoever they get this year to deliver something worthwhile. The Nexus line could be so much more, and in my opinion, Google holds back. Not to mention they haven't had one good launch so far.

The way they handled the Nexus 7 gives me hope for the Nexus 2012 phone. Time will tell.

So, for me, it's a pass on both the iP5 and S3.

What's also crazy is Apple has gotten the fans to believe that the few things the iPhone does better than the competition are the most important things.

Soon, we'll hear how important it is to have a charging cable be reversible, as if this new feature is something they couldn't live without before. You'll see. That time will come.

Well in my experience, Apple is still the best at music management and I have not seen anything like smartplaylists, even currently semi-broken, on any other mobile device.

The future came out in March. Why is everyone waiting? The Galaxy S3 will be the best until the S4

I know for me I was going to give Apple a 'second chance' and prove that there is some life left in Apple but given what was presented I am happy that I waited given that after purchasing the Galaxy S3 I have no buyers remorse. Funny enough, the great experience I've had with Samsung has pulled me closer to the idea of purchasing a laptop to replace my MacBook Pro. Sorry but it seems that Apple is fulfilling the haters critiques for many years - a trinkets company for the lowest common denominator who like 'teh shiny'.

I prefer not having to plug anything in at all. I'd rather just set my phone on its charging pad and not worry about where the cord is so I can plug in my phone.

Yes that would be great and I can see all phones incorporating such a method of charging in the future. I don't think I want to get a windows phone yet so the Lumia's aren't an option for me.

I had a powermat case on my 4S for a while and it was great except that I didn't have that many mini-USB cables laying around that fit the case so it was a bit of a hassle.

That is one of the few things I like about the new iPhone 5. If the micro-USB connector becomes obsolete, I hope it is replaced by something that is reversible. Although I like this aspect of the iPhone, it is not enough for me to get one.

Even on a mac?

Also, don't like the physical home button. :T I like my on screen buttons. When the device is off, it's just beautiful.

My gs3 has onscreen buttons as well. The physical home button is now a camera shortcut and the lit capacitive keys are disabled.....ahhh...The joys of rooting. Stuff jail breakers can only dream of.
