Pretty cool idea. Screen shot?
Im trying out a new ROM at the moment (without the onscreen keys). It looks just like the Gnex though.

My gs3 has onscreen buttons as well. The physical home button is now a camera shortcut and the lit capacitive keys are disabled.....ahhh...The joys of rooting. Stuff jail breakers can only dream of.
How did you add on screen buttons?
ETA: What ROM are you using and how is it?
"The I'm buying a iPhone 5 if the galaxy s3 sucks thread"
Placed my pre-order for the iPhone 5...
Most likely paranoid android. I'm on it and it has tablet mode, which is amazing esp for the 4.8" screen. I have software buttons enabled also.
I put my phone in tablet mode with the on screen keys. Can have it normal with the status bar on top and the three keys "justified" along the bottom, but I prefer the way I have it now.
Added some pics.. ran into a couple of bugs, on 9.06 build. Still my daily driver though for sure.

To add to the discussion regarding apps, I will agree I prefer the polish of some of the iOS apps I had on 4S. No, I don't think android has a very good RSS reader compared to my favorite Reeder, but easyRSS has come close. I like the swipe left right like reeder added.
I liked photostream a lot, but I am happy with Dropbox as it instantly uploads and I can access those pictures online anywhere I want to link or d/l. Plus I flashed my rom to get 50GB of dropbox for 2 years, paid $5 via fiverr to get someone to do all my referrals so I'm at nearly 70GB of dropbox..

Even on a mac?
Also, don't like the physical home button. :T I like my on screen buttons. When the device is off, it's just beautiful.
I'm using cm10 and a flash able zip to add navigation buttons. Looks like Gnex, not a tablet.
GS3 looks nothing like the iphone when running cm10.
Only the iphone build quality is superior at this point. JB is just as smooth as iOS.
Today I rooted and installed a custom ROM for the first time on the S3. Very easy process, kind of like jailbreaking with the iphone.
Installed a custom JB rom, and the device is now noticeably faster. Google Now looks cool, but voice search works mainly with english US. Doing searchs on other languages brings up a normal search. Im sure this will be solve with future updates, just like Siri working with new languages in iOS 6.
Tomorrow I will be trying more stuff, like kernels and themes. Maybe CM10 and other ROMS, just to find one to keep for the next few weeks.
u will miss the apple's appstore and its ecosystem so bad.
Baffling that people want to be trapped in a walled garden.
Well at least in my experience with android was like that.
But once you got the phone working/looking and setup to your liking didn't you find it difficult to go back to the unsetupable OS?
Or is your iphone jailbroken?
nope because every apps in my iPhone is much better in android counterparts.
amoled is overated, all i found in amoled was some purple tint (my sgs2) or green tint (my galnex). in amoled, face becomes too red, dark becomes so dark that you can't see a detail of a photo being taken that shows some detailed shadow because it's too black.
And also those who said the GS3 is too color saturated and not natural looking like the iPhone, but the iP5 is now 44% more color saturated.
Enjoy it while u can, because the most enjoyable use of android is browsing xda while looking for custom rom, the process finding and installing a custom rom is awesome for a while, after u found the best rom for your preference, that's it, u will miss the apple's appstore and its ecosystem so bad.

google reader vs reeder
tweetcaster vs tweetbot
tapatalk android (laggy scrolling even with jellybean vs talkatap ios
facebook android (laggy scroll again) vs facebook ios
speedtest android (non smooth animation) vs speedtest ios
my galaxy nexus's small sound from speaker vs quality sound of iphone 4's speaker which is better and louder
crap blueish camera on my galnex vs sharp and even on low light situation on my 4s
green purple tint amoled on my galnex vs sharp and natural color on my 4S
etc etc etc.

Id rather be in a walled garden but with beautiful and quality of apps than in a freedom with craptastic apps.
I feel that iOS doesn't really have any functionality except run apps. Whereas Android does really have true functionality if you know what I mean.
I think you just made the most perfect description of iOS vs Android
I feel mostly the same. Ios is awesome for apps, but it seems many times that thats all if has: apps, apps and apps. No file browser, no sending files over BT to other phones or devices, no micro SD to avoid high costs of the 32GB and 64GB models over and over again, customization, etc.
The gs3 screen is simply oversaturated
