Apple's goal on marketing is for the iPad Pro to be like an hybrid laptop, hence the size, power and physical keyboard update. Even in the 9.7 version presentation they stated they wanted PC users to move to it.
Sorry that they and a bunch of other costumers disagree with "YOUR" iPad

That's right. Preach about how dumb that sounds
You have no idea what you are talking about

Open links behind Mail:

I would like to see an option for 'open links behind mail' in the context menu. Often I'm reading through an email, usually a newsletter and see multille links I would like to open but want to continue reading the email before I look at the links. Sometimes I end up swiping to go back to mail multiple times in a single email.

I want a Bluetooth speakerphone (not built into the car) to be able to be set as your car so that the parking location widget will work for those with older cars

It's great that you can now annotate / markup photos in the photos app. Hopefully they will also add markup for images attached in notes app or has this already been done? (I'm not on iOS 10 yet)

So much this. I've been hoping for a way to disable animations completely for a long time. Android has been able to do it and I don't think it would cause backups at Apple tech support if this was enabled. I hate the animations.

T9 in the dialer app and proper phone number recognition when phone number is identified in different format. For example in some countries calling person's number is shown without country code and plus sign. But if you store the number with country code, this person's name will not be identified when he calls you

I recently tried jailbreaking and installed a mod to speed up or kill animations and wow, it's amazing how fast and responsive iOS could be if Apple waked up and toned down those annoying animations.

I always use Speed Intensifier when there's a jailbreak available. I did the original 74-step jailbreak back in 2007 and have been at it ever since.

You probably all know this but animations are much quicker in 10. When going back to 9 or earlier, it's a rather big difference.

- Bundled notifications.

- I like Raise to Wake, but I would prefer if we could just wake the screen with a hand wave over the phone or at least by double tapping the screen.

- Keyboard swipe/Swype. I don't like third party keyboards, and I think Apple could implement this feature quite well on its keyboard. I really, really want this.

- An RSS widget. C'mon, Apple. Or at least allow us to customize the News widget.

- Ability to choose default apps.

- Dark mode.

Overall
- Merge long press & 3D touch. Having both, with no clear guidelines for what is triggered by what, is confusing, unintuitive, and does not help for feature discovery.
- Make control center editable like notification center
- Allow people to access settings both from within the app and from within the Settings screen. It's confusing now that many apps require some settings to be handled via "settings" and some via "options" inside the app. I assume Apple has some "best practice" around this, but as an end user I haven't been able to figure out the logic.
- Specific example of the above - why can't I edit the Notifications screen from within the "Notifications" page of the Settings app? Why do I need to scroll down on notifications and press edit?

Music
- Make it more usable for people who just have downloaded music. The music app was good around iOS 7 or so. Now I just don't get it anymore.
- Merge the iTunes Store app into the seperate apps for Music, iBooks, Videos, Podcasts, ...

Photos
- Sync faces across devices
- Better user interface for face detection adjustments (why on earth is "not this person" under the "share" sheet?) A multi-picture "click all pictures of person X" view would work much much faster than the single-picture "is this X? Yes / No" screen that they have now
- Allow albums from the "Albums" tab to also be shared under the "Shared" tab rather than requiring 2 completely seperate albums for private collection vs. sharing
- Allow filters to be added as extensions rather than external apps
- Better user interface for the markup options (hiding this behind the "more" button sucks)

Health
- Sync from iPhone to iPad. I know they wouldn't want to sync over iCloud due to privacy concerns, but I would imagine some type of local sync from iPhone to iPad should be possible, just like how the Watch syncs to iPhone
- Allow entry of non-quantitive info, like listing when I sprained my ankle, had a cold, got a flu vaccine, ...
- Allow me to enter info for my kids as well. Fevers, childhood diseases, growth, how much milk the baby drank, ...

Nice Wishlist!

* Merging long press and 3D Touch would be great, especially for iPad.

However I'm wondering where Apple is heading with this since the implementation of clear all notifications using the Apple Pencil was added to beta and then removed. I'm thinking maybe they are waiting to fine tune this accross the system before releasing in the future and maybe even releasing an Apple Pencil that has haptic feedback.

From a functional point of view I can't see any reason not to merge long press and 3D Touch, but from a profit point of view implementing 3D Touch using only the Apple Pencil creates another reason to buy the accessory.
This may be a reason for Apple to chose not too merge the two features into one which would be very disappointing.

I hope that this is not the case - even though I own the pencil I only use it for drawing / creative work and not as an everyday stylus.

* I would like to modify control centre mainly to get the music and volume control back on 1st screen.

I agree with all three things above + better support for URL schemes (mandatory) for every app and settings within an app would be great to have to quickly access things like I now can with Launcher widget for a nice selection of app and settings but still not all. Apple even limited the access to Settings app which is why I didn't even upgrade to iOS10 yet. See also the Launcher topic.

Is it that bad for you? Battery life is just fine for me, the same suckish battery that curses the 6S. I haven't noticed a difference since updating from 9.2.
I have iPhone 6s and ios 10.0.2 and i dont know if its inly me but if i get 3 hours of Usage and 3 hours of standby and battery is at 40% im not that happy with it :/

That was typical when I was on 9. I still get a full day of use, it just gets down to 20-15% by the end of the day from 7AM-8PM.
