#1 - default apps. At least for Mail, Calendar, Maps, Notes, Messaging

#2 - machine learning. Seriously, I'm still doing all the work Apple. Might as well be a Notification Phone instead of a Smart Phone.

#3 - more iCloud storage space. 5GB is ridiculous. iOS 9 is constantly telling me I'm out of space and nothing has changed with what I store. Money grab.

If Apple adds those features that I requested, I can see myself staying.
I can say for sure you will never be able to change the default apps. That is just not how apple wants there experience. They want the default experience to be the experience users have.

Probably because you are doing iCloud backups and not backing up with iTunes.

I'd like to see the following:
-Deeper app linking so apps can share stuff to one another much easier
-Default apps
-FIX THE DAMN THIRD PARTY KEYBOARDS!!!!!!!!!!
-Give widgets on home screens if we want
-Allow us to put homescreen icons anywhere we want to put them
-Dark mode
-Support for using PS or Xbox controllers over an OTG cable
-Extreme battery saver mode
-Customisable control center
-Support mice/trackpads (More so for the iPad Pro than anything else)
Sounds like you need an android phone.

Reworking of the gaussian blur effect which seems to the #1 cause of UI performance not being smooth since it was introduced in iOS 7, if they can't optimize it then it needs to be axed.

I agree! Say what you want about skeumorprhism but it has never impeded on the previously-great perforce of iOS.

apple hasn't made any back-end changes to their core itunes functionality. for example, the ability for itunes/music app to recognize multiple artists per song (using a separator like WMP does say ; or /) would be nice. Currently it just creates a new artist with the name "A;B" which is stupid.

Same with multiple genre. Songs could be of 2 genre, maybe even use custom tags. for eg: english;country. but it currently just thinks of it as a tag "english;country"

there are many such core functionality issues been discussed on the official apple support forums for years. but they never want to touch the logic someone coded in 2001. for example, there's really no need for a videos app, a separate section for videos in the camera roll and icloud drive. you could just have icloud drive, and a folder within it saying videos which would contain everything..movies, home vids, TV, etc.

And neither should flat design which should in practice use less memory by having less textures or none at all. The blur effect isn't tied to flat design and it actually made one of it's first appearances in OS design in Windows Vista which was still in the skeuomorphic camp of design.
The real problem lies in them greatly increasing the number of eye catching graphical effects like blurring and scaling which aren't exclusive to either flat or skeuomorphic design. Pre iOS 7 relied on nothing but simple transparency and scaling effects which helped keep things smooth for the same reason turning on reduce transparency and reduce motion does right now.

The ability to choose which app you want a open a file in with the iCloud Drive app. (Eg. Currently it alway wants to open plain text files in Numbers, which would be useful in some cases as spreadsheets can be stored in plain text, but pages would make a lot more sense for my TextEdit files)

I think features are quite enough but the availability needs to be broadened. Many great features are only available in US. What a pity.

  • Better search with more focus on local / surrounding information.
  • Better battery saving
  • Quick contact sharing
  • More advanced camera controls !
  • Greater access of notification centre content
  • Customisable shortcuts in command centre and which gets selectedfirst bwhy Stopwatch? I never use it
  • Better intelligence with activity suggestions based on time and location
  • Smarter Siri that knows what's happening in the UK! Actually can tell me what's on at the cinema, can tell me sport scores properly, knows what Rugbyis, knows who Kygo is when I ask for music by him. Listen to what I am saying and work out what I am saying, if it sounds random you have got it wrong, realise it, either be smart or get clarification.

Yeah, I don't understand why Spotlight still can't do everything Siri can.

If I ask Siri what movies are playing, it gives me a list of movie posters, if you tap on one it gives you all the details of the movie, nearby showtimes, trailers and Rotten Tomatoes rating and reviews you can read. All of that is within Siri, no launching other apps or Safari.

If you type "movies" into Search, the top result is "Now playing in theaters" and it gives you a list of movie posters. But if you tap on one one of them, instead of giving you the same details Siri does it launches the Fandango website in Safari. You can't even get it to launch the Fandango app instead if it's installed, it's always the website.
Where Iam in the UK Siri finds no movie info.

I want the ability to scroll through a song or video by simply clicking on the section of the bar I want to skip to rather than dragging from the current to new position.

0 features.
100% bugfixes and optimizing for 64 bit.

0 features would be incredibly boring (iOS 9 was boring and dull as is, don't make the current iOS any more stale that it already is) when there's so much of the UI that still needs to be fixed and speaking of features, Apple should bring back features that they've removed since iOS 7 such as: rejecting calls from the lock screen, detail weather widget and social media widget in the notification center and oh yeah FIX THE FREAKING MUSIC APP!!!!
